We really need to get the right coach in here to get this program turned around before we risk becoming irrelevant.

At this point, my gut is that Donati hires an outstanding mid-major coach or an up and coming P4 assistant. Yeah, I know - sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't.

I can't see Sabins leaving - this isn't Wake Forest 1955.

If Donati hires Fitzgerald (I don't see it happening, as I think he has unfinished business in Lawrence), he'll probably have to hire much of his staff - no surprise there. I found an interesting read at D1Baseball on Fitzgerald's recruiting coordinator Jon Coyne.

Inside mastermind Jon Coyne’s impact on Kansas’ historic season

Might as well just sit back and enjoy seeing who makes it to Omaha, and watch the games from Omaha.

Saw this yesterday. Stuff like this is why is so frustrating to be a Gamecock fan. We know or have indicators of how good these programs can be and sometimes it’s like they just won’t. For roughly the first half of the Super Regional era SC was arguably “the program” in college baseball. They were at one point the winningest program and that was before the CWS titles if I’m not mistaken. And now for roughly the latter half of this same time frame it’s been one (or two?) SR’s and still tied for 3rd. Baseball just one example.
