is credited with recruiting Shaheen Holloway, Danny Hurley and a 6’7” basketball player named Roy Leath from Lake Wales H.S. in Florida to Seton Hall University.
I talked to him several times, he was very friendly and knowledgeable about basketball.

At a open preseason practice when Leath was at shu, I took my 2 grammar school age kids, to watch. We were given a program. My kids were getting autographs. Duane Jordan walked by, they gave him the program, he signed, and looked thru the program, saw they were only missing Leath's signature, and asked if he could take the program and get Roy's atutograph. I said yes, amazed he would take the time to do this after a practice. Duane came back in a few minutes. He told us with a chuckle Roy was in the weight room lol (Roy was 6'7, 170 lbs).
