On the fancy side of this board, with all of the intel Edgy possesses, the Great and Powerful One lists Top Prospects by position group, and the Flyers from East Saint Louis have more dudes listed than Chicago's MC Brown.

Three to nothing on the OL - Flyers.

Three to one on the DL - MC.

Tied at two for Linebackers.

Three to two for DBs - Flyers.

RB/WR/TE - Five for ESL - two RBs, three WRs.Two WRs for MC Brown.

Two to one at QB for the Flyers.

It is very clear which team has more talent.

How good is 2028 ESL QB Jadon Wilson?

Carmel is always stout up front, always. Every year the O-Line Mafia reconstitutes itself.

Three to one on the DL - MC.

MC rebuilds every year. And I hate to tell you this, but the Flyers are overconfident. It may be their fatal flaw, their permanent affliction..

RB/WR/TE - Five for ESL - two RBs, three WRs.Two WRs for MC Brown.

Nate Samuels wins at RB for MC. Mount Carmel has a long history of running all over ESL, starting with Nairobi Allen in 1988. A good game to watch on YouTube.

If you discount the Caravan's receivers, you will suffer.

Two to one at QB for the Flyers.

You wouldn't say that if you rolled the tapes. If you saw Elliott and DeAndrea on Hudl.

Mount Carmel, as usual, has been blessed with an abundance of riches.

He's quoting what Edgy said on the pay side. Samuels over MJC is a wild take

Samuels is a nice RB but a 0 star recruit with no D1 offers vs. the #4 ranked RB in the country who committed to Auburn. It ain't close.

The offers will come.

Samuels is also a Senior, a little late to be considered "emerging".

Both Mount Carmel and Joliet Catholic have a great running back tradition, which Samuels will extend..

As a freshman, he ran behind Darrion Dupree. As a sophomore, he ran behind Madden Wilson and Danyil Taylor, both reliable backs. This year, he'll be dynamic.

Sure, I have no doubt he’s gonna have a real good year. But it’s silly to compare/pretend he’s on the same level as MJC right now….he’s not. And that’s no disrespect to him.

Sometimes we have to take some time out from the team we follow and just check out the landscape to get a proper perspective.

Last season I did feel Samuels was underutilized especially in the run game as MC was pass happy. But MJC is hovering around 5* level. Not that offers mean everything or anything, honestly. But we saw what MJC can actually do with that size and speed against top talent.

Samuels does have some small D1 offers in Austin Peay, Lindenwood, and Chicago State....I think anyone who plays football has an offer from Chicago State....but he has been killing it in summer camps, being named MVP at many and I'm sure more offers will come, I see him getting some MAC offers or NIU now that they are in the Mountain Conference. But no it's not even in the same conversation as ESL RB.

MC doesn't run like they used to and with their stable of star WRs why would you, but even before Burrell and Thornton MC definitely scaled back the running game. Even with Dupree he barely got over 1,000 yards as a senior. But he had a lot of catches out of the backfield that he turned loose on and Samuels will have that same opportunity. He was a big part in beating BR last year with he catch and runs. Lynch even said he could have just handed the ball to Dupree the entire game and with his ability he would go for 3,000 yards but he used him in other ways to keep defenses on their toes because he had to be accounted for at all times. It worked as he was named the POY that year by the Times. I see Samuels being used the same. And their was an excellent Freshman RB that turned heads that I think we he introduced on the varsity this season.

High school football much like college is like the wild Wild West

the state is either going to pretend that they don’t hear the public school complaints, or they will over correct in such a way that will force the privates to abandon their system

this is an interesting time
