Leave ol Crest Charger 02 alone. Any man(maybe a woman) that is this unhappy about someone else's team and league, after reaching the pinnacle of the football mountain less than a year ago, cannot be reasoned with.

So here you go Crest Charger 02. Everyone but your team is terrible, If your team beats a team its a good quality win. If anyone else beats a team we should question their validity and conference strength. Now go put on your Charger PJs, take your pills, and have a good night.

Getting this thread back on track I'm gonna say I think Burns, Shelby, Lincolnton & Cramer will all have 1st round playoff byes and all 4 will be in at least the 4th round this year. I also think there's a VERY good chance Shelby & Lincolnton meet in the playoffs and Burns & Cramer meet in the playoffs possibly both in that 4th round. I also think there's a very good chance our poor little conference could produce 2 representatives in state championship games this year. And very possibly 2 state champions.

Beamer, we know the Hibritons, Pisgahs, Maidens, and whoever else will have a say in 4A West too.

However I do agree with notanyonesfan1 that our top 2 3A and 4A teams will be right there with a chance to represent the West and win State Titles.

Getting Boki back was BIG! Think about our receiver / secondary with him in the mix. That's not even including JV players moving up.

From what I seen that WR that transfer to Ashbrook from Shelby will be returning back to Shelby.

I keep telling everyone. Y'all focused on what Lincolnton is rumored to do. But Shelby doesn't rumor they just do it. Don't think they are just gonna let Lincolnton have it this year

Shelby loaded at skill position,
Front 7 on Defense going be hard to handle..., there was a question mark on back end but 6 int in 2 7 on 7 looking pretty good.
Your right Beamer 24 Qb is big Question mark, what im hear they may use both ones a gun slinger the other is Raper No.0 that can tuck it or throw it ..
We have like 6-7 solid receivers

Do you honestly believe the Gaston and Cleveland County fans on the 3 and 4-A boards are FOCUSED on Lincolnton. They’re focused on their own teams and how they might do against the other teams; and if you believe for a second that anyone thinks that Shelby gives as much as a thought to just giving up a game to any other team, you don’t know what you’re talking about.

You can't lose what you didn't have. He was dismissed from the team before last season and there were zero expectations of him playing for us this season. He was working out with BC last week and then decided to go to Crest. He used a Sophmore pic of him at Burns which made people believe he was currently on the team. Look at last years roster and stats. All good over here in Lawndale.

@BurnsBulldog02 , you are coming into the season with a Senior heavy team correct? The O-Line last year was no joke and in my opinion the best unit we faced(no offense Beamer). I saw on the ER thread some names of the OL and most were seniors with a few notable exceptions. The fact these underclassmen made your list has my interest piqued. You care to expand on those guys?

It could very well be one of the best OLs Burns has ever had honestly.

Also this could be easily the best WR group Burns has had in a while too. That group we had in 2022 was pretty special but this group could be just as good. We have 3-4 legit WRs. And obviously you all know about Max in the backfield.

And yeah will be 17-19 seniors on this years team. Solid core of juniors too

Not much to expand on other than they pass the eye test and work hard. The Harrill brothers were already working at the gym I go to the week after the Brevard game. One will be a senior who is our Center and the other is just a Sophmore. Camp was our first baseman this year. Wilson is massive and Bledsoe saw some Varsity snaps last year as well. It all depends on how hard they worked in the offseason and staying healthy but the ingredients are there.

Article in the Gaston Gazette today had top returning RB’s and Burns had 3 of them. With that type of O-Line and that kind of depth at RB, you think we will see much of those WR’s I have been hearing about or do you think it is 80-85% running plays this year? Either way it sounds like you guys are absolutely loaded.

I heard burns lost a pretty solid upcoming freshman RB to crest? Scored most of the TD’s for the middle school last season. Crest still seems to be the hot hand Cleveland County?

We didn't really lose him. He had planned on going to Crest all along for high school so he was never in the plans for us.

As far as the WRs, I suspect you'll see them used in a lot of different ways. Burns loves to run jet sweeps.

Wright is who you are talking about. His dad played at Crest. I coached him in elementary. He and his family have said from day 1 he wanted to play where his dad played. That didn't come as a surprise to anyone.

What did everyone see this week. I know, I know, its 7 on 7 and not real football, but it was great to see a glimpse of what August could look like. SC went against West Meck this week and it went as expected. A whole lot to work on with glimpses of excitement. SC rolled out a receiving corps with 3 guys over 6'3" and a few slot guys that could move, one of which was the 400 state champion in 400 meter last year. Plenty to get excited about over in Cramerton.

Wolves freshman group seems promising. Skill player wise anyways. We have the youngest Bost brother with us now Jalen. He is already taller and bigger than his brothers.

Will Lineberger, RJ Caldwell, Jalen Bost, Nick Cathcart are explosive and extremely fast. Spoke to a coach on the staff. They are excited about these kids. They are already some of the fastest kids in the program. They played a lot varsity snaps in the
7 on 7 VS Bunker Hill Tuesday. Said they held their own against Varsity Competition. I think will Lineberger had 2 INT, 1 pass break up.
