UGA stadium is like playing an Intramural Game

It shouldn’t impact our team but it has to be at least somewhat concerning playing intense baseball in front of 10000+ regularly then go to a practice field like stadium that may have 1800 fans probably half of which will be ours. UGA’s program is an absolute joke and we SHOULD win this in 2. Their fans don’t care. They are without their head coach and one of their best players. This could not be set up more perfect for us. Let’s go take this intramural series in 2!

Does the quality of their team factor into your analysis at all?

They have so few seats to allow for the locals to be in the majority. If they had 10k, it would be "maroon" "white" all game long

You do realize that the size of the stadium has nothing to do with the quality of the team. If that was true, we would have much more SEC and national titles than we have. We have the same amount of baseball nattys as Georgia, btw, so nice stadiums and fan support aren't the end all, be all.

We will have few fans there. They had that place full for their games in the regional. Your take on this is about as stupid as you saying our SEC games at the Dude were half full, and then saying that the much smaller crowds in the regional were better.

Seems like coming here and playing us in front of (checks hailstate.com attendance for their 3 games here) 37,432 fans would have had an effect on their players too, but since they beat us 3 straight, it apparently didn't and nor did it in Hoover.

And, their record at home was 34-7 so playing in front of a small crowd apparently doesn't bother them either.

Troll on my friend............

Some of you need to lighten up and take this thread for what it is. Just a little smack talk. You don't have to get you thong stuck up your butt crack and defend Georgia. Have some fun.
Some of you need to smarten up and take this thread for what is is. A bad troll.

I'm actually ashamed of many of you. Anything but relentless ridicule should not be allowed in this thread.

Anyone who tries to defend a joke of a program like UGA needs a brain transplant. Let me repeat: Southern Miss would outdraw this team by THREE times. It’s funny when you think about it.

Bring on the intramural series!

Intramural baseball actually isn’t a thing. There’s only intramural softball. That being the case, it’s no wonder that you’re so excited about this stadium.

Perfect for an intramural sport. Having a big crowd did nothing for the UT and UGA series at the Dud.
That was early April and we are now in June. That's a lifetime in college baseball. Totally different team with a returning Friday night guy rounding into form and a couple position players playing at their ceiling. Dud it's doable.

1800 fans? So just a big crowd for a club sport on a downward trend?

Some of those smaller west coast schools we've seen in regionals in years past played in smaller stadiums than Georgia's but damn they were good .

Tenn, Bama, Auburn, KY, Florida and Tenn have all taken steps to improve their stadiums. In some cases, built new stadiums. LSLU, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Miss State, Texas, A&M and SC have real stadiums. GA has not done ****. They really should be embarrassed. Along with Missouri. GA got lucky with a few guys that they manage to keep and have a good team. It will not last. College baseball is growing. It is getting popular. Schools are figuring out what Templeton figure out years ago. Baseball is a sport you can compete. It may not make money, but anyone can win a NC in baseball. GA is doing good now but if they don't grow their stadium or fan base they will be left behind. So, **** those cock suckers.

They just did a 45M upgrade. It's small, but it's not crappy.

They didn't create a ton of seating because they don't need to. You're right, by and large, Georgia fans don't get into baseball. Georgia football and Braves baseball, that's the kings around there. They won a title before any of us and they still don't care. Nearly won another and still don't care. They'll do what they do this year, and they......you guessed it......still won't care.

Look, others point out that baseball doesn't move the needle and that's true. What you do on the field does not move the needle until it galvanizes the fanbase. Why it moves the needle for US, is because we turn it into an event that benefits the university, city and student/fan engagement. It's just nice to have the titles to go with it.

We need to win this thing. Their radio shows mainly talk about football recruiting. Their announces go on to talk briefly about Tre Phelps saying the do not condone taunting, yet they see no taunting here. Furthermore they double down saying that Liberty was “pouting”.

17em go beat their *** State Dawgs!

Or, you know, call them out for the feebleness of the effort. We need to Make Sixpack Great aGAIN.

Their stadium can hold 3,633, including standing room only. Small, but I'm sure it will be full and we are the underdogs. It's winnable, but going to be really tough.

I believe that's what Toyota Field cost, from the ground up, about 6 years ago. It holds about 8500 and is pretty nice.

Let’s just say if Dudy Noble is the mecca of college baseball, Foley Field is like the Soso, Mississippi of college ball parks.

UGA is an absolute dump of a field and program. 2-0 in the Intramural Series of super regionals upcoming.

UCLA’s baseball stadium holds 1820 people and appears to be a dump. I believe they actually average around 600 people per game. I’m glad that they are out but their stadium has apparently not been a factor in their success over the years.
