I’d be surprised if we ever announce the real number.

Standing room only is a liability for emergency response.

looking forward to seeing Patdogs intelligent insight with his laughing smiley face reply

It's on a downward trend, unlike women's sports

It’s not close to packed.
Edit: To clarify, the grandstand is packed and the berms are packed. The outfield standing room is not.

Announced attendance was 11,588.
Not sure what our postseason record is- I want to say we broke 13,000 in 2007.

They said last night we hold all 25 of the top 25 College baseball attendance records. Im not surprised, but its kind of crazy. Why even keep a list at this point?

That 07 Clemson game. The Old Devil was there, and you could have told me there were a million people in that stadium. My buddy and I were cooking in the student section for what we thought would be our 10 or so buddies. By the end, it was the Jesus with the fish story. We took a loaf of bread and some hamburger meat feeding the entire section it felt like. And we were happy to do it.

Hottest baseball game I've ever been to. I guess being Satan, you're used to the heat and standing next to a grill was nothing.

The thing to remember is that the postseason attendance numbers are always far more accurate than regular season.

Both are calculated the same way, just counting tickets sold. But the postseason games they are tickets sold that same week, so the ratio of number of tickets sold to people in the stadium is near 100%. All those SBW Saturdays of 15,000+ are a bit inflated because you’re gonna have 1,000-2,000 season ticket holders or more that couldn’t make it for whatever reason.

That’s why I always say that the 2007 Clemson Saturday game was the most packed I’ve ever seen it even though it was only 13,000ish, and I’ve been there twice in the regular season when it was reported to be 15,000 plus. That ND Saturday game might have eclipsed it though, I wasn’t there for that one.

Polk is still miffed that a ‘Smoke-Free Stadium’ means that it means even him. He told Neil one evening that, “it’s got my name on it. That ought to mean something.”

I worked in the press box in the late 90s after Polk "retired" and Coach Mac took over. He would come up to before games and light one up. It would stink up the entire press box.

Was very hot but the Monday afternoon SR game against Notre Dame in ‘21 was seemingly hotter but ‘07 was almost 20 years ago. 🤷
And 97 was 30 years ago and that was the hottest day I remember. How Dubose threw 600 pitches that series, I’ll never know.

My kids and I were at the game. I was at a record crowd in 90s. I cannot remember who we were playing it was LSU or Florida State. That was the weekend I got hooked on MSU..

The Brooks Bryan HR robbing catch in the title game was an all time Top 3~5 DNF moment. Place absolutely erupted.

The Ty Martin HR against ND, Masters GS, and Moreland finishing off Clemson are only others that really come close.
Masters was a 6-6 in that game. One of the greatest offensive performances of all time at DNF.
