Just to drill down on China controlling our economy....It is really the ultra cheap Chinese labor that started it all....Many U.S. companies were/are complicit.

The U.S. SHOULD have added tariffs way back when our companies shifted production to China. Those tariffs should have been added to make the price of the end product equal.

The liberals need to look at the big picture and not the present.

S GDP is forecast to expand 2.5% in 2026 (fourth quarter, year over year), versus the consensus economist estimate of 2.1%.

Core personal consumption expenditures (PCE) inflation is estimated to fall to 2.1% by December (year over year).

The key driver for the forecast for solid GDP growth is that the drag from tariffs should give way to a boost from business and personal tax cuts.

The Fed is predicted to make two rate cuts of 25 basis points (one cut in June and one cut in September).

The US economy is poised for stronger performance this year than many economists are projecting, according to Goldman Sachs Research.

What’s the outlook for US inflation this year?

Core personal consumption expenditures (PCE) inflation is estimated to fall to 2.1% by December (year over year) and core CPI to fall to 2%. Goldman Sachs Research’s inflation forecasts are 0.3 percentage point below consensus estimates, the Federal Open Market Committee’s (FOMC) forecasts, and market pricing.

“We are confident in part because we think there was actually meaningful progress” on declining inflation in 2025 that was masked by a moderate one-time boost from tariffs that should fade this year, Mericle writes.

Not true. I was a vocal critic of the tariffs due to their Inflationary impact. I was told to wait a year before passing judgement. And a year later, we have rising inflation, rising unemployment, rising interest rates, a declining market, and engaged in two wars. That seems like a lot of negativity for one year in office. Obviously on this forum, I’m in the minority. It was bad under Biden, it is bad under Trump. Hopefully we have better options in 2028.

This will be my last post to you on this too. You came on here disingenuous. You clearly came on 100% opposed to what you see as Trump's failed policies, but you were also asked to offer the better alternatives and you refused to honestly answer. Why?

You cant ask for better candidates without specifying what policies opposed to Trump would make them better? You didn't even have enough veracity to admit what you voted for opposed to Trump in the last election, because we already know you didn't vote for him. Why not? Who did you vote for? You never answered that!

So you had every opportunity to express what are/were the superior alternatives you prefer over what you claim are Trump's poor results, and you've refused or simply can't offer anything in response. That is a fact.

Additionally, I and other posters in this thread went into some detail over what we like about Trump's current policies, (which we all enthusiastically voted for) and your assertions over his alleged failures were countered with solid data proving every one of your own markers about his shortcomings are in fact better now than before he was re-elected!

Whether it's on unemployment, inflation, wages, stocks....even the confrontations with Iran which have been a huge success....every thing you claimed as worse now is by objective facts better than when Trump re-assumed office a year ago. You have offered nothing factually to refute that, only your media fed anti-Trump talking points calling his successful policies a failure. Well so is your complaining.

No one takes you seriously. You don't even take yourself seriously, because you can't be honest about your true motivations. You obviously have no better ideas, no better policies, and sadly no better candidate.

You're simply an irrational Trump hater, and you can't offer anyone or anything better so you simply hate on him and expect everyone to agree with your emotional diatribes.

So spread your hate filled media talking points somewhere else. The posters on this forum find you ill informed & boring if not altogether insane. 🤨

Turns out it will take a little more time to fix what you Marxists turds screwed up during the Obama and Biden administration. As far as tarriffs I support we Embargo everything from Communist Countries. I blame Bush and Clinton the most for letting them in the WTO.

I was at the Springsteen concert on Wednesday night here in DC. And as you would expect from one of the GREATEST ROCK LEGENDS of all time, the concert was AMAZING! I’ve seen Bruce probably 4 or 5 times and I must say, this concert was the BEST ever. My only disappointment was that he didn’t play Rosalita but that’s OK. The rest of the concert was incredible. And one of the highlights of the night for me was hearing Bruce speak openly and honestly about the corruption and deceit in this administration and seeing 50+ thousand fans all united in their disgust of the criminal and unlawful activities going on in Washington. It was beautiful. An experience like no other, and a night I will always remember. Now go ahead and show your ignorance by denigrating Bruce Springsteen, a TRUE AMERICAN, because he openly and truthfully criticized your Donny Daddy.

We had corruption and deceit for a long, long time. That is why the electorate was so ripe for someone, anyone to come along and give a middle finger to the establishment.

They keep trying to make this about Trump, as if everything was fine and then Trump came long and messed things up. No, things were so messed up that people voted the very imperfect Trump into office because he at least gave lip service to fighting the rot and corruption.

Bruce should do some self-reflection and ask himself why regular working folks, who were who his audience was back in the day and who made him very wealthy, now are on the complete opposite side of him politically.

When Obama left office, he didn't start hanging out with regular folks. And Bruce wasn't hanging out with regular folks then either. Instead, Obama and Bruce were hanging out with each other.

You'll say "And Trump doesn't hang out with regular folks either." True. But Trump at least gives voice to regular folks. He doesn't openly despise regular folks, like Obama and Bruce and everyone else at the top does.
