I choked up one time in my life. I was 14 and facing Neal Heaton for the first time. At 14 he threw upper 90s (1974 upper 90s). Struck out the first time and he actually threw it past me. So next AB Dad gave me a smaller bat and made me choke up. I hit a 400 foot shot to right center. He never could get me after that cause once I fouled off his fastball he threw his not good curve.
