Cheers to another whiff. Not the last.
Unless UK does the right thing after this season
If we start slow again I hope whoever the AD is shows some balls and does it mid season. Billy Donovan is unemployed right now. And rumor is he wants to take some time off before starting a new job so there’s a good chance he’d still be available.
If Pope is struggling ealry you at least gotta put some feelers out to Donovan, who is rumored to have interest, and consider how beneficial it would be to give him a head start on next season.
It Donovan says no, hand it over to an interim. You were expecting a lost season anyways. Use that time to have a legit, thorough, well thooght out coaching search. Do you homework. unlike Barnhardt. (i really dislike Mitch Barnhardt. 15 years to think about this **** and you stick us with a guy thafs never won anything in 9 years of head coaching prior)
Stopping the whiff is like stopping the wind. You can reach your arms out and try to grab it, try to pull it back, try to stop it... but the whiff will go on. The feeling of control only for it to inevitably slip through your fingers. A slight moment of closure, followed by chaos, confusion, regret... Some things in this world are bigger than us. We cannot stop the wind and we cannot stop the whiff. All we can do is enjoy the cool breeze as it goes by.Cheers to another whiff. Not the last.

Did Pope even interview or did lazy Barnhart just hire him off a whim because he got turned down by his buddy Drew and he knew Pope would say yes? The BOT and Capilouto should've made MB at least conduct several in person interviews before making a hire with an unproven coach. But I've heard Eli doesn't care for sports and gave free reign for MB to do whatever he wants. If we start slow again I hope whoever the AD is shows some balls and does it mid season. I believe Jerome Tang did. Mike Woodson too. Although he may have finished out the year.College basketball coaches don’t get fired at midseason. Do you pay attention
Signed, Jerome Tang and Chris Holtmann.College basketball coaches don’t get fired at midseason. Do you pay attention
Holtmann was going to be a frontrunner for the job in 2020 if Calipari took the UCLA job. Big yikes.Signed, Jerome Tang and Chris Holtmann.

I still remember the thread on here about him being the next possible coach. I remember thinking how horrible of a hire that would be.Holtmann was going to be a frontrunner for the job in 2020 if Calipari took the UCLA job. Big yikes.
The three examples listed (there are others) were in the recent past and you stated absolutely that coaches don’t get fired mid season. Your point was disproven immediately. So the other 15k fired coaches over the last 20 years didn’t . Got it you proved my post
