Mine did too.Any idea who won the Tewwaraton? My ESPN + went black during the showing of the highlights of the nominees and I can’t get it back up!
Feed went down on our end as well. Internet/social media reports that Madison Taylor won…Any idea who won the Tewwaraton? My ESPN + went black during the showing of the highlights of the nominees and I can’t get it back up!
It’s almost indefensible but to the winners go the spoils.
Chloe is now the face of women's lacrosse, PERIOD! Huge "you blew it" to the voters who should have rewarded the best player in the sport. Grow the game by rewarding excellence, not political favorites. 2027 can't get here soon enough. No, it's indefensible.
CH beat her in every category. There's no excuse for this.
Why exactly were the powers-that-be so determined to do those two things?I told you that they were going to do this. I stated that they gave Chloe the other two awards in an attempt to downplay the fact that they were going to give Tewaaraton to MT, and that is exactly what they did. Just like in 2022 when UNC won the whole thing. I thought Jamie Ortega was going to win it but they gave it to Charlotte North and they got beat by Ortega and company in the championship game. It is kind of funny that everyone kept saying that Chole was clearly the best college player this year. She even tied MT for the most goals in NCAA history for the most goals in a single season which means she had more goals than MT this year. I kept saying the powers that be were very determine to make sure that NW won it this year and they made sure that MT was going to win the Tewaaraton Award this year. This is BS and they know it. Truth be told we all know who the best player is this year and we also know that MT knows it too deep down inside. We know what we need to do next year. It will be time to take the cash register back out and keep the receipts next year.
It is what it is on the award, but it is odd that the player that won it didn't even make the all tourney team where her team won the title. That's an odd one....pick'em on which one was sketchier....Bottom line to me:
Humphrey and Taylor both won the award under similar stats while playing on the championship team that won head-to-head.
they both lost when they tied the record for most goals and were second all-time in points.
i don’t agree with the decision but i see no conspiracy here; they were seemingly consistent in their selection criteria.
As I said I disagree with the decision. But I also disagree that there is some cabal of UNC haters that steered this award away from Humphrey. If that were the reality she would not have won last year.It is what it is on the award, but it is odd that the player that won it didn't even make the all tourney team where her team won the title. That's an odd one....pick'em on which one was sketchier....
