I think, going forward, that this is the way. The roadmap was built in 2025. Recruit #1 classes, run the clock on everyone, take the natty out of the refs hands.

I just hope the committee does not snubbed Chloe from wining the Tewaaraton award tomorrow. We have already had one injustice done to us by the referees in the national championship game. Another injustice would be done catastrophic IMO.

Re: Kady Duffy; reviewing Queensbury’s season — Duffy has only played in eight games this season and Queensbury has not made its usual run to the NY playoffs. Certainly suggests an injury, although I could not confirm.

This could mirror Emma Connerty’s situation where she sat out her 2026 freshman season at UNC after suffering a knee injury her senior year in high school. To reiterate, I was unable to gain any insight into this situation.

Thanks for sharing. I hope it is not too serious, but if it is, we have enough talent for her to be able to sit out her freshman year and heal up completely.

The players will be re-ranked after their senior year and after the New Balance Senior AA game. So the current rankings are preliminary in nature. For example, after the preliminary, post-junior ranking, Addison Pattillo was not ranked in the top 10 and Kate Levy was unranked. Pattillo ended up #1 in the 2025 class and Levy‘s final ranking was #3.

I think the current class of 2026 (10 players) has an excellent chance of maintaining its #1 ranking. I’m not so sure about the 2027 class — while it‘s very strong, it only has six players, which could work against it.

Any idea who won the Tewwaraton? My ESPN + went black during the showing of the highlights of the nominees and I can’t get it back up!

I told you that they were going to do this. I stated that they gave Chloe the other two awards in an attempt to downplay the fact that they were going to give Tewaaraton to MT, and that is exactly what they did. Just like in 2022 when UNC won the whole thing. I thought Jamie Ortega was going to win it but they gave it to Charlotte North and they got beat by Ortega and company in the championship game. It is kind of funny that everyone kept saying that Chole was clearly the best college player this year. She even tied MT for the most goals in NCAA history for the most goals in a single season which means she had more goals than MT this year. I kept saying the powers that be were very determine to make sure that NW won it this year and they made sure that MT was going to win the Tewaaraton Award this year. This is BS and they know it. Truth be told we all know who the best player is this year and we also know that MT knows it too deep down inside. We know what we need to do next year. It will be time to take the cash register back out and keep the receipts next year.

Lastly, Chloe is the best college lacrosse player in my book and I do not need that blank award to know this a true fact because sometimes people have a tendency to snub people who really deserves awards like this. This is so common in Cooperate America. People who deserve the award sometimes do not get them for political reasons which is the case of what happened tonight. Chloe your fan base is very proud of you. We know who the best player is and that is all that matters. Go Heels!

This award has always been ANTI UNC.

Men side is no different.

I can name several elite men and women UNC players that deserved this award. Chris Gray, Billy Bitter, Joey Sankey, Marie Mccool, Emma Trenchard, Katie Hoeg, etc.

Joe Breschi and Jenny Levy didn't go to Maryland or Northwestern.

No, it's indefensible.

CH beat her in every category. There's no excuse for this.
Chloe is now the face of women's lacrosse, PERIOD! Huge "you blew it" to the voters who should have rewarded the best player in the sport. Grow the game by rewarding excellence, not political favorites. 2027 can't get here soon enough.

Why exactly were the powers-that-be so determined to do those two things?

Bottom line to me:

Humphrey and Taylor both won the award under similar stats while playing on the championship team that won head-to-head.

they both lost when they tied the record for most goals and were second all-time in points.

i don’t agree with the decision but i see no conspiracy here; they were seemingly consistent in their selection criteria.

It is what it is on the award, but it is odd that the player that won it didn't even make the all tourney team where her team won the title. That's an odd one....pick'em on which one was sketchier....

As I said I disagree with the decision. But I also disagree that there is some cabal of UNC haters that steered this award away from Humphrey. If that were the reality she would not have won last year.

home team fans always think the world is out to get their team. It rarely is actually true. Just confirmation bias in play.

This is another example who one of our players was robbed from wining the award. Marie McCool should have one it at least once during her tenue at UNC. This is plain bias towards our players which is a bunch of bull.

We are going to miss them. I wish they could have win out in a bang. Thanks seniors for your leadership, grit, toughness, and giving your all for our team this season. Now, go show the pro league what you can do. We are proud of you and it is truly a GDTBATH.
