The best restaurant Tupelo ever had was Kermit's Outlaw Kitchen. Unfortunately it closed in 22 or 23.
They did your hometown well after Katrina. Some of us still boycott Outback around here.***
^^^ this is the answer, best hamburger in the 'Sip.
There's also an Australian themed restaurant, you go down stairs to get to it. Kind of nasty inside.
For a meat the three, can't go wrong with Steel's (or whatever it is named now).
Also, that bar is called Down Under. The Gin
Vernon Bell was a cofounder of Danver’s. He was of Knickerbocker fame in Memphis and the family still owns Mortimer’s today. His son, Chris Bell, was a member of Big Star in what should have been the biggest band out of 1970s Memphis. A great and tragic story. How the Tupelo franchise has survived is beyond me, but it’s a local legend. The Oxford location made it until the early 2000s.Danver's food is just simple, comfort food. I like their soups especially. Hot ham sandwiches good, butter-toasted buns. Solid salad bar. Just simple stuff.
They do a pretty good soft-serve milkshake if you want a treat. Just simple though.
It's still 1974 in there for the most part, minus the smoking and the prices.
