Quite the group of starters Cashman has assembled.Jake Bird... .
Quite the bullpen Cashman has assembled.

How many aces do they currently have ?
You know what is funny, you see all the video's from Bonds, ARod, Gywnn, Will Clarke, Thomas, old school ones from Mays, Williams, Aaron, all talking of hitting down, making contact, etc...These morons have been preaching contact velo and launch angle for over a decade. How much longer until they realize it's a dumb idea that doesn't work?
Along with a K, my coach used to say "there's no bad hops in the air. Hit it hard on the ground."
Down and hard. Make them make the play. Unfortunately, the major leaguers make the play a lot!Along with a K, my coach used to say "there's no bad hops in the air. Hit it hard on the ground."

But they better grab bullpen arms before the trade deadline.
saw a video recently- forget who it was but a historical hitter- they showed why leveling the bat to the ball compared to launch angle makes so much more sense. that upward launch angle swing only allows one single moment of bat and ball making solid contact. No room for error. Level the bat to the ball - and even if you miss by a little- it can still have a positive outcome.Down and hard. Make them make the play. Unfortunately, the major leaguers make the play a lot!
Ehhh- it happens in baseball and he can easily end up .290 it would also seem like a slip if he "only" ends up with 45 or so HR and 100 RBI.None of that explains why Judge is hitting .250 this year while he was hitting .350 at this point last year.
And of course with Judge you have to factor in all of his contributions....like that perfect throw he made from right field the other day on the fly to throw out the runner at home in a 0-0 game. A momentum changer for sure.Ehhh- it happens in baseball and he can easily end up .290 it would also seem like a slip if he "only" ends up with 45 or so HR and 100 RBI.
So- Let's say he does end up .250/48/100 many would call it a slip and many would call it a career year for 95% of baseball. The only worry, ever, for Judge- is if a wall gets in his way.
