Big congrats to Dolph! Couldn't imagine another voice for Iowa athletics. Happy to see him being honored like this.
Fran's specialty is ending dreams. Will Fran be there?
They'd have to rename it "Field of Screams" if Fran attended!Fran's specialty is ending dreams.

I've never been a fan of his work
Dolph is a Dubuque guy, thru and thru.I've listened to enough of the Iowa opponents through recent years to know that Dolph is nowadays unlistenable by comparison.
I sometimes am forced to do the radio thing during the fall, and having some sort of gamecast pulled up is a must. Otherwise a good half the plays I wouldn't know what actually happened.
Dolph will find a way to mispronounce Field of Dreams.Lmfao…![]()
Restaurateur? He's a minority owner of a bar that doesn't serve food that has his name on it basically to collect royalties. He's never been hands on with that place through its various majority owners. Dyersville is in no way a suburb of Dubuque, and he's actually from Cascade which is down the road from Dyersville. He did however work a bank branch in Dubuque throughout its buyouts that became US Bank.Dolph is a Dubuque guy, thru and thru.
Local banker, restauranteur ect.
Dyersville is a western burb of Dubuque.
Makes sense.
As for his work....a challenging listen.
He is always snapping photos of himself there at that bar.Restaurateur? He's a minority owner of a bar that doesn't serve food that has his name on it basically to collect royalties. Oh I'm not saying he doesn't go there, Dolph is a huge partier, I'm just saying the place is a bar not a restaurant, and he's essentially a completely silent partner in the business. I guess as someone who was very involved in that industry once and is still acquainted with many tavern owners and actual restaurateurs, it bugs me when people make no distinction between having your name on something and actually being involved in the business. That space already was a bar, changing it to Dolph's was just a rebranding. He is always snapping photos of himself there at that bar.
