What we need is for UCLA to win and be the #1 seed. If GT grabs that…man…I just don’t want to face them in Game 2 in Omaha if seeding played out.

We should be, but nothing is set in stone. I don’t trust the committee. We should have been a 4 national seed last year after winning the ACCT, but they dropped us to a 5 and gave the 4 to Auburn. When in doubt, the committee will always give it to an SEC team.

Amazing how many new names show up here the second we’ll lose a game. I get it’s frustrating today but overall we did nothing to hurt ourselves this week. Came out healthy and got everyone some run out there.
GT is the perfect built college team in the modern era. Pitching is good enough but the team is built on hitting!!! With the computer and tightness of the strike zone the game is about offense! Offense and more offense.
We’re just not going to beat GT in a game where our 4 best pitchers combine for 4 outs. If we somehow get in this situation against them again, it would be in the national championship series.

What really hurt and showed up today was Decaro awful start . We had to burn Glob up Friday for the weekend and if DeCaro pitches deep and we pull away we don't burn him and we go to him quickly today and it's a lot better game .
GT is a really, really good team. I think if we had DeCaro, Glauber, and Walker available the whole game, we get them. It is a herculean feat to hold them down. Boaz tried but just isn’t up to their lineup and the Matty/Winslow performance was hard to watch. Hope we shake this one off and get ready for the NCAA tournament.
If his wrist isn’t fully healed, then he shouldn’t be catching! That makes no sense. If he’s still hurt, let Colin catch.
Winning today would have been awesome but getting Macon back to where he needs to be for the regional was important. He’s our best catcher. I am concerned about our pitching however. Our starters seem to be struggling to get through enough innings and we don’t have enough reliable pitching in the pen. Globe anf Duff can’t do it all by themselves although Rose was good today. We need better to get to Omaha
By rule, those were wild pitches, but if you’re playing D1 baseball, you still have to stop 2 out of 3 of those. With good technique, you even get lucky with at least one. Playing lazy on one knee with runner on 3rd and you share fault, regardless of what the rule book says. And watch the replays. The first one was to the side of his knee on ground. He had no means of sliding or blocking. He just reached and missed. Both of the next two also bounced but were at him and between the shoulders and both deflected off of him and away. WP, but a good catcher keeps those in front.

I played for a coach who would go to 3rd all the time forgetting to put it on. Guess that solves that problem. When I caught with a pot and mask (Legion was the only time I was allowed to), I kept the pot on like a hat a lot.
Is VA better than us since they won 2/3 ? GA Tech is the best team in the country doesn't mean they can't be beat
Wanted the win since we made it to the championship, but I could care less. We can still lose 3 and win the title. This team is special. I don’t think any team can beat us in a 3 game series (other and VA at the beginning of the year). Buckle up folks

Runner thrown out at third in the first inning with no outs set the tone. Boaz leaving pitch after pitch middle-middle,but not pulled soon enough gives up a five spot. Three wild pitches, two of which should have been blocked. Not sure why De Caro wasn’t brought in after Duff. Game, set and match. Not our best game, but this is a resilient team that could end up in Omaha. We will see.
