Regardless of where baseball ends up, I had this thought

There is usually someone I don't want to be matched up across from in a Super Regional. That does not exist for me this year.

Georgia? Let's go. Something has to give.
Texas? We should have won 2 from them in the regular season.
UCLA? Two months of B1G play and a weak regional will give us an advantage

The only team I want no part of is Wake Forest in a regional.

Of the top 5 projected.... I agree I would feel the least worried at Texas. But being a 16 seed... that super will be an uphill battle regardless.

I don’t particularly want to see Georgia Tech’s offense in a Super.

There’s no getting around us having a tough 2 seed if we host, we’re gonna get one of the better ones no doubt. Gonna have to get it done though.

Curious choice. As a Winston Salem resident and a WFU grad school alum who's watched Wake all season, I have to ask why. I'd give Miss St the edge 7 or 8 times out of 10.

Wake Forest is the most underrated, snakebite team in the country. Teams like that can get it together and make a run. They have the talent to be a top 8 seed.

I see your point, but I don't see this season's version of the Deacons starting a run now. I don't want us to play Wake in a regional (or Super) for the simple fact that I'd love to see both teams in Omaha.

ETA: I haven't been following Wake's RPI at all - didn't realize they were Top 25. I clearly haven't paying enough attention to them.

We aren’t going to have cakewalk in our Regional, not with being a 13-16 seed.
The #2 seed we have will be a team very capable of beating us.

While not elite we have the talent to be that 17'n team and make a run. All 3 sec guys are capable of throwing a masterpiece if they pitch out of their mind and we've seen our lineup rake in big games just nowhere near the consistency to be elite but it's in there. The thing about that 17'n teams is they play out of their minds for a short period but they still have to have the base talent. We need to get hot and play out of our minds. Not likely but the fundamental talent is there; just need to play above it for a couple weeks.

I get everyone thinking law of averages will play out if we get UGA in a Super. But remember, they play in a softball size park and they recruit specifically for that park. They have a major advantage at home.

Furthermore, the splits on guys like Charlie Condon in home SEC games and away SEC games had a large difference. He hit around .500 in Athens with 80% of his HRs. And around .300 on the road. Something was up there.

Nope, were not winning there. Ain't happening. They would crush us in that park.
