Iowa fans know what they are talking about it when it comes to being mediocre. It it literally the pinnacle of their FB team. They celebrate 8 wins.
Plenty of them wanted Franny gone near the end because no one went too their men’s game‘s but they sold out for Katlin.

Your opinion is worthless since your Clarkeye fan.

As season ticket owners you support the team and wanting them to lose is a loser mentality.
Disagree. Continuing to support a failing team is enabling it. How do people not square that in their heads? In fact, since you brought up Iowa, that’s what they do. You (rightfully) have something against them, yet think our fans should act just like them? How does that make sense?

Covering for the extension mistake and looking at Hoiberg and saying "look I gave this guy time" . Football is different animal...Rhule has been a disaster from year 2 on .
I don’t think Hoiberg has anything to do with it, after all Moos hired Fred.

Also not to mention we have a less patience for basketball then we do for our football program.

Do you have season tickets? Or do you just complain.

Iowa fans are weird because they got duped years ago to believe that they could never accomplish anything and that they should be happy with just a winning season.

PJ Fleck stole that idea when he got to Minny. That dude, while at Western Michigan, could not shut up about getting high rated recruits and playing big boys and trying to go undefeated. The second he got a job with a big paycheck, he shut up and did the iowa thing..."Gosh, we are just happy to compete and try hard and make a bowl game."

The fans fall for it and start to cheer for a winning season and nothing more.

Whether you and SF69 like it or not without a total disaster this season he is getting two more year, so you either get on board and cheer them to victory or go find another to cheer for.

As a season ticket holder and a booster to the Husker Athletic Fund not supporting the team isn’t a option.

Then you’re part of the problem. You want to talk smack about Iowa because they’re mediocre yet you think our fans should get on board and support this administration, when we’re not even as mediocre as they are. It makes no sense.

I do not. And I stopped donating. And if everyone did that, changes would be made.
The problem with that theory is the money it takes to change head coaches. Yeah I know, empty seats cost a lot of money too but then you’re just adding to the financial pain. The businessman in me says that we’re stuck and have to bide our time. The extension probably bought Rhule 2 more years. Even then, you’re probably looking at hiring a no name staff if you fire Rhule in 2 years. The original package we gave him was a lot but millions of that was paid by his former team. The other extension is all ours😕

I’ve been preaching for at least 5 years that we don’t have the depth of alumni financial support that some of the other B1G schools not to mention the SEC. IMO, we’re screwed as far as football goes.

You guys don't get it. He is gone after this year if it is not a strong year. It doesn't need to be a disaster.

The money doesn't matter. A lot of fans like to think it matters but you don't create a contract like that without having the money to pay it off.

Was totally in disagreement with Dannen decision to extend the contact, was stupid when he hasn’t beaten anyone ranked yet.

You think by giving season tickets away is going to solve the issue, HUH winning and losing will determine that and when it does happen I’ll still have my seats to watch the next head coach who ever that may be.

My 2026 donation went to the the Hoiberg‘s Basketball program. So I’m not the proble, but go pat yourself on the back for giving up your football tickets.

Okay well if you’re talking about giving the bare minimum to maintain your season tickets, that’s reasonable. I wasn’t following you there. Guessing you’re still going to attend games though?

While I hope Rhule can get things turned around and start winning 9-10 games a year, I don't believe he will. The next two years will decide his fate (might just be this year), I don't think he'll be able to do it, just have to wait and see.

Nebraska has celebrated 5 National titles.

Clarkeyes Dream about winning one.
😉😉
Ah, yes...the good ole days when Osborne didn't have to worry about academic standing and an unlimited roster.

Where Lincoln police looked the other way on athlete transgressions.

Those National titles?
Nebraska standards weren't exactly a pillar of excellence.

Troy said Matt’s safe. Is Troy?

and how many times have we heard an AD or GM say “we are committed to coach” and then fire him soon after

Nebraska football is a business. When revenue drops in a company, that’s when the board starts making moves. Revenue will drop this year

Have more academic all Americans, than you Clarkeyes do.

Osborne graduate players you dip$&it, go put on your wrestling tights and go back to your irrelevant sports program board.

Not about Hoiberg hire , but rather the time he was given as a coach to turn the Basketball Program around.

I don’t foresee any real improvement under Rhule. This season we may have a good offense anchored by an improved OL but I doubt we are sound in the other two phases of the game. I think it’s pretty reasonable to believe ST’s will take a step back which is unfortunate when it netted last year’s team at least 3 or 4 wins. They also have a defense that is completely up in the air with an inexperienced DC and a hodgepodge collection of players from the portal.

Really, we weren't much different a couple of coaches ago. We were duped that 9 or 10 wins per year with no Conference Championship and zero Top 10 finishes was good enough for a blue blood like Nebraska.

Lets talk standards here. Iowa vacates wins due to cheating. Iowa strength coach bullies and assaulted several players. Accusations of racism in the program. The lawsuit for racism, the program paid out 4.1 million dollars. Moving right along, in 2023 there was a sports gambling scandal on the Iowa cesspool campus. How is that for starters?? For Ioway, people who live in glass outhouses should not throw stones. Go churn some butter or do some clogging rather than infest our board.

You should research stuff before posting.
The gambling stuff was later thrown out because of our Republican AG political overreach.
The "vacating wins" stuff was so lame.
But you already know that.

And, now we're being duped that making a bowl game is the gold standard. What is your point?
