Your comments, and comments from others in this thread, make it seem like you all only view possible extraterrestrial life as similar/same to humans and what we have on Earth.All that plus the planetary position and star size, having a relatively massive moon that keeps the axial tilt stable for consistent climate and tides to keep the oceans churning, a massive Jupiter like planet nearby to act as a vacuum cleaner for comets and asteroids as well as stabilizing the Earth’s orbit, etc. It’s a tiny probability of all of that coming together to sustain life long enough to become ”advanced“, not to mention the likelihood of that life destroying itself and planet through war, etc.
Perhaps life was sparked and took hold differently.
Perhaps those conditions kept traditional warfare from taking hold.
Perhaps they have no legs and 3 arms.
Perhaps they stumbled into space travel through some fluke portal on their planet and they are real dummies.
