I don't see this hurting us much. How much worse can we get in men's sports?
Nailed it!Was I asked for solutions? I commented about race baiting, and how you came running like you heard the dinner bell. And I was right.
If you want one solution, stop trying to keep racism alive by race baiting continually. But this is a big money industry and we both know certain interested parties will never let it die. Plus, people like you just have too much fun playing victim. Color me SO SURPRISED that you claim to have worked for NAACP.
I wonder what Dawn Staley says about it?? Any word from her?? She would be quick to comment or act!!I don't see this hurting us much. How much worse can we get in men's sports?
Of course you were president of a local chapter. Would expect nothing less.Depends on what the local chapters focus on. The boycotts are just what the media tend to talk about. I was a President of a local chapter in my younger days. We gave scholarships to graduating seniors. Provided school supplies to kids going back to school, and yes white parents brought their kids out to get the supplies. Arranged community meetings with law enforcement. Positive things tend to be boring. Things that sow division get ratings for news outlets.
I used to enjoy watching kids get such opportunities, but for the most part those days are gone. One could also say the same about the coaches, as most seem to be chasing the next shiny object and larger contracts(while expecting the players to remain committed). Look at the recent comments by Schnall yesterday when asked about this job, he did not come out and say "I am happy where I am and I am not interested in that job at all".Be my guest. May bring back the true student athlete. You know those kids that were proud to be offered a free education, room, board, etc to play a sport.
