Part of that is Kelsey Mitchell and being tied to her.

Kelsey has never met a ball she would pass.

75% of the time KM gets the ball she holds on to it too long and has to put up a shot when she could have easily passed it off for a better look.
And she hardly ever passes it back to CC22 when she does give it up.
We joke in the office that Kelsey says hey, I'm a shooting guard not a passing guard, it's right in my position title. Anyway, it looked to me that the last game or two, Clark hasn't been off the ball as much unless she's tired and actually wants someone else to bring the ball up the floor. Yes, Clark does turn the ball over some, but it is painfully obvious that the offense is night and day better with running it through her rather than letting it happen around her. Kelsey is a great shooter and slasher, but not so great at passing and making decisions. Hopefully they get Boston back healthy and they get some momentum going.

Honestly, I couldn't tell you where that lands her as a shooting guard, but I feel like she could have one or two more easily.
Her 3pt per game are up right now from last year, her 3pt percentage is way down. She averaged 3.5apg last year.

Shooting more, making less, passing less than last year.

As you pointed out, this is a small sample size. Hopefully this doesn't mean that the team just isn't very good and she's having to take tougher shots and has less competent people to pass to. With that being said, Caitlin's assists are almost 10 a game (and yes, should be at least 13 given the butter fingers and missing of open shots), so it is probably just a small sample size and a rough start to the season.

So you'd be 2.5x more willing to put dog poop on a waffle cone than think Reese could beat her 1 on 1?

I think White is a good coach taking the blame for CC and KMs poor early shooting. And unless she's signing off on roster moves, she's not the one that didn't go out a proper backup for Boston.

If Clark/KM even shoot 40% they could be 4-0 right now and no one would give one shid about SW.
If my memory is correct, in each of the last 2 years Mitchell has been horrible shooting the first month or so of the season.

Availability continues to be an issue with CC. You can't be the GOAT if you keep missing the games.

CC scratched with a "back injury" - only the 5th game of the season.

"During Indiana's season-opening loss to the Dallas Wings, Clark went into the tunnel twice to get her back worked on and "adjusted" before re-entering the game. She said afterward that her back "gets out of line pretty quickly" and that her trips off the floor were to "get my back put back in place a little bit."" - that's not great!

does it matter when its piled 3 scoops high in dog shid?
The most impressive thing about Reese is how she can't dribble. Or shoot. Or move in an athletic manner. She's got "standing there" and "being tall" on lock down ... it's just all the other aspects of basketball that she needs to improve upon. She's smart and focused, so no doubt she'll get it. I've heard she once made her first attempt at a layup in practice. Sky's the limit.

Floating around that she missed practice because of her back on tuesday and no one in the Fever org listed her on the injury report.

Fever should be fined for this.

"The WNBA issued a warning to the Indiana Fever after star Caitlin Clark was not initially listed on the team's injury report but was a late scratch because of back soreness shortly before their game Wednesday against the Portland Fire, the league told ESPN on Thursday."

So just a warning for clearly breaking the rule. CC privilege.

Fever looked pretty good without her Wednesday. Should be a good opportunity to get the rookies extra minutes early in the season, which could bode well down the road.

I do hope Clark's back issue is a temporary thing and not something that is chronic forever. That would be a shame.

Aliyah Boston hitting threes has to be super scary for the rest of the league. She looked great, albeit against a pretty bad team.

Doesn't a "picture book" imply there's not many words? Otherwise it would just be a "book".
Yes, but a lot of big names "write" a kids book with someone to illustrate it. The publisher uses the big name to drive sales.

No one would care if John Doe wrote a Caitlin Clark kids book, but kids will care if CC wrote a children's book.

Didn't realize there were so many children's book authors that played basketball at Iowa

Do you have any examples of this happening and no first time warning being given out?
