Prices didn't skyrocket before all these illegals arrived. Why can't Americans drive those trucks and earn 6 figures? Or minimally allow immigrants to apply for a temporary work permit with a requirement to be fluent in English?
You were alive a hundred years ago before illegals started coming over? Who said Americans can't drive those trucks? As I laid out, we have trucker shortages in the tens of thousands but they aren't applying for those jobs and don't want the longer routes in particular. I don't have a problem wirh a requirement to speak English.

Apparently 2020 was 100 years ago.

How Border-Crossing Became a Crime in the United States

In 1929, Section 1325 criminalized undocumented immigration for the first time. Its aim was to decrease Mexican immigration.

Thanks for the history lesson deflection. I assume you realize that back then there were only about 100 million people living in this country and there were virtually no social welfare programs back then.

Dude, your words: "Prices didn't skyrocket before all these illegals arrived." Illegals have been arriving for a hundred years but in your mind the migration just started in 2020? Do you really want to talk about deflection??

whoa, sure immigrants have been arriving for years..there were quotas.

If you can come up with a period in modern times when we had an estimated 11 million illegal migrants crossed the border in less than 4 years, you might have a point.

The fish always gets bigger with you magas. The very best estimates show a top-end of 3.5 - 5.4 million came through in Biden's term and most estimates for TOTAL illegals somehere between 11 - 15 million. So to answer your question, there is NO period where 11 million illegal immigrants came through in a four year period.

after consulting with AI, it appears that current estimates

From 2020 to 2024, millions of people entered the U.S. without authorization, with CBP reporting nearly 11 million "encounters" (apprehensions/inadmissible entries) by FY2024, while Pew Research estimates the unauthorized population grew significantly to a record 14 million by 2023, driven by asylum seekers and parolees, marking a large influx of new arrivals alongside those already present.

(apprehensions/inadmissible entries) doesn't equal border crossers.

the unauthorized population grew significantly to a record 14 million by 2023 = TOTAL, not only during Biden's term.

Why are we talking about this anyway? This tangent was spawned from a comment I made about truckers and the massive void it will leave if they are all deported.

The ethics of this are waaay out there for me. I highly encourage you to watch and learn about how grocery stores are flexing your prices up and down without you knowing about it. I feel some regulation is needed here. Which means we will have to wait for a new administration.

Similar pricing concept.

If true, and not sure I believe it, this is an interesting topic.

Isn’t this age discrimination? Or is that allowed? For example, senior citizens discounts are allowed. But this isn’t a discount.
