Good luck to Riley. I'm sure that their will be more. Last year thinking that there were 10 or 11.

I will add that I suppose that the baseball coaching staff, like other staffs at UNC, have meetings with players and it is discussed what the staff sees as the future of a particular player is, as well as where the player sees his future at UNC is heading. Probably not every player who didn't see much time on the field/mound is asked to look elsewhere, and not every player who did see the field would want to stay. And then again there are those guys who have a love for Chapel Hill that help them to decide to stay around. I know one of them.

Do we have a read on who on the current team counts as Designated Student Athletes to go beyond the 34 man limit?

By my count, if everyone eligible to return did return, and we added everyone currently committed (HS, JUCO, Portal) we would be at 44. This is before any draft entrants and attrition (other than Leatherman).

Are there any guys out there that y’all have seen play this year that you’d like for us to take a look at? Trey Williford, LHP from UNCW for me.

Probably not. I think the travel numbers are limited anyway.
Southern you are correct. I know some didn't travel this year to away games. Apparently once exams are over, scholarship benefits end, and the team has to provide food stipends and housing to guys who live on campus. So if you don't travel, in order to save money, you're free to go home.
