In Jersey, just hop on NJT to get to Penn Stn, then hop on the 3 subway which takes you directly to Barclays. It takes about 20-25 minutes to get from Penn Stn to Barclays.

From Ocean County, that's about 2 to 2.5 hours each way, including driving to Metro Park (50 mins), train to Penn St (50 mins), Subway (25 mins), add 20 mins for walking and transfers.
