Good lord some parents are just the worst.

So, my no pic is the attendance secretary at a middle school. Today was their end of year on track celebration. If you are on track (attendance, grades, behavior, etc..) the last couple hours of the day you get to go to the rec center or park next door and swim, play basketball.. whatever. Basically go have some fun with your peers for a couple hours. If you aren’t on track, you get to spend that time in study hall fixing your grades, studying for finals, etc.

long story short, no pic said about 40-50 parents of off track kids came and signed their kids out anyway. Several even took the kids over to the rec center so they wouldn’t miss out. WTF? Talk about horrible parenting. Wouldn’t you want to use that as an opportunity to teach your kids that actions have consequences? Such a great learning experience/opportunity just completely ruined by the parents. No wonder we live in a society full of entitled little brats. God forbid Johnny has to learn a tough lesson.

There. End of rant.

Agree, sounds like a good opportunity to teach a life lesson, but you’ve probably identified the likely reason the kids are off track in the first place.
Yep. My dad always told he'd quit his job and sit and hold my hand in class if he needed to. And he wasn't joking. If the adults don't take education seriously, why should the kids?

The dumbing down of society is why we have a degenerate conman in the white house.

truancy is a huge issue for schools now. I didn't realize that not attending school was an option. I imagine the people limited by their lack of education are too stupid to realize that fact and that they are doing the same thing to their children.

Sadly, they're the same one who did this to their kids at the dinner table so they wouldn't have to parent then either.

My kids have had a few emails about behavior come into my inbox over the years. It's always taken care of pretty quickly, because I tell them I'll take a week of PTO and come sit with them in class if I see another one. I'll even eat lunch with them and their friends. It gets their attention the older they've gotten.

Sounds about right. I have seen this kind of behavior from parents too and it sounds like it's getting more common. Parents always want discipline for someone else's kid, just not theirs.

It means I and probably 95% of the board don’t give a sh*t what your wife looks like and don’t need to define a woman solely on her looks 24/7.
I don't know how many years back your started on HROT, but for a long time people would in any thread say something if you said just "My wife...", asking for pics, so guys would just start adding no pic, to keep other posters for constantly asking for a pic. You know, dumb HROT stuff!
