A lot of social media posts floating around that the rates of childhood cancer are 38% higher in the area surrounding Driscoll farms than the national average.
This is what suppliers do for nearly all fruit.I used to work for a company that shipped their strawberries. They never pick ripe strawberries. The pick them early and gas the hell out of them and then wrap the cases in plastic for them to artificially ripen on the way to the buyer. Taste a fresh grown berry compared to a store-bought berry. Worlds of difference.
My 13 year old does too. I buy extra at Sams so the rest of us can have some. Add this to living in Iowa and she's full of cancer apparently. Thanks Kimmy!Ill bet my 7 yr old eats a lb of Driscoll strawberries a week. No joke. Concerning.
