A lot of social media posts floating around that the rates of childhood cancer are 38% higher in the area surrounding Driscoll farms than the national average.

I used to work for a company that shipped their strawberries. They never pick ripe strawberries. The pick them early and gas the hell out of them and then wrap the cases in plastic for them to artificially ripen on the way to the buyer. Taste a fresh grown berry compared to a store-bought berry. Worlds of difference.

This is what suppliers do for nearly all fruit.

Frustrating. My daughter only feeds organic strawberries to my grandkids which I thought was over the top but now it seems the edge aisles in grocery store are almost as unhealthy as the dreaded middle aisles.

No where to run; nowhere to hide

Ill bet my 7 yr old eats a lb of Driscoll strawberries a week. No joke. Concerning.
My 13 year old does too. I buy extra at Sams so the rest of us can have some. Add this to living in Iowa and she's full of cancer apparently. Thanks Kimmy!
