Transportation costs are just starting to factor in.

It's very weird that Republicans are running on giving Americans high inflation for the elections.
Republicans will continue to vote for that.
The Radical Right has zero self awareness.
Voted for Trump because the cost of a dozen eggs got to $5.
Yet, $7 ground beef and $5 gas doesn't seem to bother them.

personally, I can't wait for democrats to take control of the house and Senate. They should have grocery prices down to pre pandemic levels within 6 month to a year.
Trump made it crystal clear in the 24 campaign that the president is responsible for gas and food prices so you are going to have to wait a little longer i guess

Somebody ought to tell Mamdani, he's promised lower grocery prices....and as I listen to members of both parties in their campaigns, they keep promising about affordability and the fact that they're going to lower prices, make housing more affordable etc.
Now, we know that the higher prices today, are in no small part, due to Trump's policies. So, it just seems to me that when democrats take over the house (likley) they will do what they said and lower prices.
You and I both know that there is very little a Democrat controlled house can do to lower prices....so we both know that any candidate Republican or Democrat in running on a platform promising to lower prices is FOS. I guess that is my point...
