3307char, please do not use HD. He has been fired now. Just leave the man alone. To be honest, HD was fired because we lost a 19 point lead to VCU bottom line. If it would have been Illinois and some other major power 5 team, HD would still be the coach.
IC reporting listed a major reason for his firing at this moment in time being the inability to fundraise from boosters for this offseason for NIL to rebuild the team. It is a salient point (in my opinion) to what Tenn WBB may also have to deal with right now.

The On3 site for Tenn reports two transfer portal visitors to Knoxville lined up. I cant tell if the article is behind a pay wall (and this is our free board at IC) so I will not name names here. but both are mid-major stars who shoot the three well.
The Liberty player committed immediately.

The list of commitments by Tenn so far is less of a "Who's who," more of a "Who's that?"

Harper Peterson, 6-3, F, Soph. (1.1 ppg – Stanford) - unranked in USA Today top 100
Zhen Craft, 6-2, F, Fr. (5.7 ppg, 4.2 rpg – Georgia) - unranked
Rylie Theuerkauf 5-9, G, Jr. (11.9 ppg – Georgia) - #55 USA Today
Avery Mills, 5-9, G, Soph. (15.3 ppg, 4 rpg – Liberty) - unranked
Naomi White*, 5-9, G, Fr. (20.8 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 1.9 spg – Northern Arizona) - #30 USA Today - Big Sky Rookie of the Year and scoring leader

2026 HS Recruit:
#43 ranked Gabby Minus, 6-1, G

They still have 9 spots on their team, but A LOT of work to do. Their two ranked additions are shooting specialist more than well rounded players

To be hones. I do not give a rats blank about Tennessee. They way some of their fans attack our board and were talking smack a few years ago our coach, etc. My only concern is how we are doing and if we have the players on our team to beat them.

Just curious if Tenn allows players in the portal to continue to use their facilities?

The two women who were drafted (Barker, Spearman) have to be settled and report to WNBA training camp on Monday, so they are likely already gone.

Nya Robertson could be doing pro tryouts to get a free agent deal, but probablky on campus still? She will is good enough to play overseas if interested, so probably still training unless she is hanging up teh shoes.

Jersey Wolfenberger was the other graduating player, a deep bench reserve who played in only about half the games, does not seem like a pro prospect for overseas, so maybe she has stopped training all together? but maybe not.

So they may have 0-2 women in their facility, both of whom are leaving. When they bring recruits on campus they are probably showing them a mostly or completely empty facility with all the lockers cleared out. That cant help recruiting; you cant meet a single player on your team unless they visit on the same day.

Should be a interesting year for Caldwell and 1 of the once dominating University of ever Tennessee volunteers. She's definitely acting fast and building her roster back at 6 the way they are talking a 7th is on their way. The SEC is such a very physical conference., I hope Kim can't teach a bunch of women she's never coached before until now how to be physical back, and not lose composure.

Portal stuff is wild
I have to say WBB has a"special place'-as in wild
The "toxic culture is a thing
I have no comment, clue on Sylvias last years as regard this..
But it is a thing
And I don't mean to say Caldwell is in this category-but gosh WBB has this trend
