I assume the cavs coach does a good job. Never liked him when he was with the Nets, but maybe cause I was mad Isaiah wasnt getting more time.

Amazing comeback. The NBA is giving all sports fans a show and last night Jalen and the Knicks did it in the greatest city in the world. Awesome win. Just awesome. When Jalen gets it on, better be ready.

The big talent with Brooklyn nets yes talking to you kyrie and KD ran Kenny out of town. He is a long Island native played at Richmond real coaching journeyman and being with Cleveland validates and vindicates the Brooklyn exp. With that said last year early bounce from postseason vs what seed was. Last night was not his best last 12 min of a game.

Shamet played late game situational minutes. That never would have happened with Thibs.

By the way yes the knicks has some ruts this season but the ability to cycle in shamet McBride kolek Alvarado has been essential.

Harden at the line up like 21. At that point the Knicks were playing listless D, Brunson was off and taking some bad shots, and overall as a team like 4-24 from 3 or something like that.

From there - Defense gets better. Brunson starts making shots and gets on a torrid run. And Knicks go 6-8 from 3, with Shamet, Bridges and Bryson hitting big ones. Garden crowd takes over. Cavs can’t stem the run, even when Mobley hit a giant 3 to put them up 7/8 which I thought was the death blow for the Knicks.

Kenny A is a good coach but I wonder what the logic was for those last 7 minutes with Harden and Brunson. The Knicks were consistently attacking Harden and the Cavs didn’t do anything to change the matchup or adjust. By contrast, the Knicks were doing everything possible on the defensive end to protect Brunson who had 5 fouls and is a defensive liability.

Harsh but fair

Hard to pass judgment because it is not uncommon for kids that talented to be part of teams that aren’t as good as a whole when those kids are freshman without a supporting cast. Kids like Bailey and Harper make giant leaps year to year because of their talent etc but are not guarantee to win right away especially in this era of older players. Unless you surround them with the right cast.

If you want to get on Pike for that team I think it’s the failure to surround those 2 rare talents with the right group.

That is not the real rothstein account on X, a fraud and Mr. Musk does so well to vet his platform...but free speech/no censorship

I knew it wasn’t because Rothstein would never be so directly critical. I was commenting on the talking point generally.

Kenny got screwed in Brooklyn and is validating that he's a good coach with the Cavs now going 116-48 in his 2 seasons. However, he deserves blame for that collapse. While the Knicks were on that insane run and Cleveland looked clueless and tired, Atkinson kept 2 Timeouts in his pocket which he never used. And then he did the same thing in Overtime while getting blitzed. He kept 4 Total Timeouts in his pocket which he never used during a 44-11 run!

He made no adjustment to put a better defender on Brunson until they got close and he began doubling him which opened up 3s for others. He also did nothing to get the ball out of Harden's hands on offense every trip. Have to get Donovan Mitchell the ball down the stretch.

Granted the Knicks had to play near flawless basketball to comeback but he did not do enough to make things harder for them.

Cleveland can present some problems for the Knicks. Bigs are decent, 3-point shooting. But Harden can't cover Brunson one on one, and double teaming allowed the Knicks open three's.

Cleveland knows this. They try to hide Harden on defense off the ball but the Knicks kept doing basic screens with Harden's guy (usually OG) and Atlanta switched on it every time so Harden and Brunson were manned up and the Knicks just cleared everyone out and let him go 1 on 1.

Watched Spurs - OKC. Spurs have so much young talent but I think they are too young to get through a strong team like OKC. Their 2 starting guards are 20 and 21.

Stephon Castle is an amazing talent in just his 2nd season - so explosive. But he isn't ready tobe your primary ball-handler. Dylan Harper has issues also but when he got hurt, Castle dominated the ball and he's just too sloppy. He has 20 Turnovers in the 2 games!! That's a shocking number.

Wemby is a jaw-dropping talent. He's truly a once in a generation player but OKC wore him down all game with Hartenstein bodying him, pulling and holding him off the ball on both ends the whole game. Officials let it go for the most part.
