LSU roster looks atrocious

The word on the street for connected LSU folks is that Wade has his class locked up behind closed doors and waiting for a mass announcement that will be big news.
It's interesting to see whether that's true or just wishful thinking. But he could still theoretically wow us if true.

Really weird roster. Mix of guys who are tough / high motor defensive studs that don't bring much offensively and guys who are pretty good offensively but absolute liabilities defensively
I assume it’ll be Yam, Abdi, Saliou, Mo, and Marcio/Brice

In this day and age, looks on paper are interesting and SOMEWHAT predictable, but you cannot confidently tell what any team REALLY has until they have played a few games into a season. These last two (2) seasons, the NIL$$$ and PORTABILITY have shown that. I will agree, though, only eight (8) players on a roster is not enough to develop a good team.

At least they are doing everything they can to get talent. Even picked up RJ Luis and are trying to get him eligible. Meanwhile we’ve had Barney talking about imaginary rules for 10 years.
It will be a total disgrace if RJ Luis is cleared to play college basketball. He had his chance to play at the collegiate level last season but chose to pursue the NBA route instead. At some point, this madness has to stop and a line needs to be drawn.
Niang plays in the same league as our own N'Diaye. They both average around 9-10 PPG each.
Obviously, Santos is a solid player, maybe a poor mans' Reid Travis.
Madar will be granted eligibility since he has 2-3 years of military service in the IDF.
Dessert looks pretty good too out of the Turkish league, maybe an 8 and 6 guy like Shawn Phillips of Missouri.
Then they have Bashir Jr from Kansas St, Austin Nunez from UTSA, and Dioubate from Kentucky. That's a strong bench. Shooting will be an issue for them. Luis and Niang are both more forwards than guards as are Bashir and Dioubate.
I don't really see the issue with what Wade is doing. He's just pushing the envelope of what's allowed. There isn't much difference in getting 1 of these guys or 7.

While I agree with your second paragraph, I will bet you what ever you would like to lose, that LSU doesn't beat Kentucky by 20 this coming season, speaking of talking s.hit.

Wade is quickly making himself a national villain in the sport. Also pushing the rules so far that they'll have to rule on it. Maybe not a bad thing. Every sport needs a good villain and this sport needs structure in the worst way possible.
Yet if they get everyone eligible, a loss to them is very likely. They’d have the best player on the floor.
