Not a popular opinion but Forbes reminds me a lot of Mack Brown 2.0. Very fortunate to play in a very weak conference that pads record and leads to being over-ranked. Color me not impressed with only one win in Omaha, but coach bootlickers always gonna bootlick. Prove me wrong, coach.

Well done, Greg. Recognizing a seemingly humble man who has accomplished as much as anybody but lets the player results speak for themselves.
I don't see how this comparison makes sense. RPI is not the best tool admittedly, but Forbes's teams have ranked in the top-10 three times and in the top-15 four times in that metric. Brown's best ranking in FEI was 25th in 2020 and four of his six years were 40th or worse.
Forbes is the best coach currently in the whole AD and its not even close imo

I’d bet a solid amount of money that without looking it up, he doesn’t know who Mike Martin, Dave Van Horn, Dave Snow, Gene Stephenson, Ron Polk, Jack Leggett, etc are. None of these guys ever won a title but all are all time greats, with MM being maybe the greatest of all time.

How many teams try in the first two sports you mentioned? 10?

Mack 2.0 got barely above average (and sometimes not even that) results against a conference that was maybe 5th-best in the country. Forbes gets elite results against the clear 2nd-best. you can have issues with his teams' NCAA performances but this is a ridiculous comparison lmao
I put it on the record that Forbes is and will be better than Mike Fox. The arrival of Forbes for the 2006 season is one of the reasons Miller and Bard stayed and started UNC's upward trajectory.
