wondering if Kareem Thomas is a sleeper.

Call me crazy but I actually think our backcourt will be pretty dangerous offensively.

Whether anyone can effectively run the point is another thing.
What is happening with Copeland and our supposed other big or PF verbal? I'm sure these "dones" are shopping around their offers or maybe transcripts don't work out. Or maybe better recruits are in play? 🙏🏻

After reading all of these glowing reviews, I think we are going to be a final 4 team this coming season. Not sure what final 4 but it appears it is written to be so.

Hats off to the staff for assembling a roster in this day and age.
As of now, though, will we be picked for #11 again?

Im very happy and impressed with the roster that Sha has been able to put together with our supposedly low budget and all the other perceived challenges that we have to overcome.
Pundits don't think too much of us but I think we will surprise again this year.
Kudos Sha and Staff.
On paper, I'm more bullish than last year even without it being complete, knowing what is going to be added it seems.

The "pundits" and preseason polls will have us better because of outperforming expectations last year. Even though it looks like the Big East should be much improved overall.

Whether it works? Who knows. Time will tell. I tend to be less optimistic than the Carino crowd but more optimistic than plenty of others who post here.

Fully agree. Despite not making NCAA tourney, we far far outperformed expectations last year and all games were very hard fought and exciting. IMO, it was a very enjoyable season and we showed tremendous progress.
I hope for a similarly exciting season this year with hopefully a few more favorable bounces of the ball and we make the expanded tourney this year. It will be challenging but very possible. Gotta get out of the gates strong.
Sha isn't perfect but the MAN CAN COACH.
I have faith and am looking forward to the season. I expect to be in person at multiple games.

I like the overall depth of talent on this group over last year but I question if we will have any high-end players emerge and develop into an All BE player or an extremely productive 2-way Center.

Offensively, we lack the Playmaker for others that Budd was. That said, I'm intrigued by Del's talent as a scorer but he's not the passer that Budd is. But I feel we have several players capable of creating their own offense as well as better shooting so i don't think we'll be as dependent on one player to breakdown defenders and set up teammates to score. I think our talent and depth at the 2, 3 & 4 positions are better this year than last.

The 5 position is a huge question. Payne & Hines combined to give us very impactful play on both sides of the ball. They combined for 12.5 points, 12.0 rebounds & 3.4 Blocks per Game, a 118.0 O-Rating, Top 20 Offensive Rebounding % and Top 10 Block %. Can we come close to that production again? We have no idea because we don't technically have any Centers. Williams will play some there but how much? Will Copelands sign to be our starting Center and is there a capable backup also close to signing. We don't know for sure.

Defensively, I think we have the players capable of playing Sha's system well but will they come together and buy-in to team defense and playing hard for the team?

The other factor which others have mentioned is the BE appears to be far more talented than last year. Many teams have had very strong Transfer classes including teams that were terrible last year like Marquette, Providence & Xavier. Talent-wise, it still looks like we have a bottom 3 BE roster but I'll bet on Sha to overachieve again to be a middle of the pack Be team. Hopefully the league rates better, combined with an extended NCAAT field, so the BE can get 6 to 7 teams in and we are one of them.

PG - Del Jones, Trey Parker
SG - Sim Wilcher, Roddie Anderson, Payday Moore
SF - Kareem Thomas, Rodney Brown, Mayar Wol?
PF - Devin Williams, Nathan Mariano, Chris Nwuli
C - Terry Copeland?, ??

I liked Budd very much. But on offense he impacted the flow and the ball got stuck with him often. I think we will miss him on defensive and rebounding end moreso.
