Persa wasn’t good as a redshirt freshman.

He looked lost as a redshirt sophomore.

The tools were there but not the vision until his fourth year, which most fans anchor him to before his Achilles tear.

I still think both Basanez and Thorson were better than Persa by a long shot.

Hopefully the portal treats us well.

Persa had pretty good vision his 3rd year, where he would use his legs to set up passes, something the coaching staff could never quite develop with Thorson.

Speaking of Basanez, it was Brett that helped Persa develop/improve in the more mental aspects of playing the position.

Persa injured his Achilles by carrying the entire team on his back...

Baz and Thor were great, but for that 10 game period, Persa stands alone

How many of you parents out there? Probably the vast majority. So we can all identify our kid/kids who we adore getting their chance. And I am sure 95 percent of you being NU fans and all follow recruiting if even just casually like me.

So with those two thing said I must say I gave a hearty chuckle to Coach Day and his kid happily taking in NU complex and experience, with the guy the best and guess what coach Day of OSU? GO CATS!!
