...yes, he was Chris Taylor....who, as I remember, was a great guy...but I do not remember anyone larger being his effective...it seems he and his brother are not much in exchanged regards. I heard somewhere that they were raised about 250 miles apart and did not have anything much in common. Daniel C. has never mentioned the bigger C....?
Chris Taylor?

...currently I would favor Merrill in a competitive tractor pull contest with one of small to medium size...as he continues to eat and GROW will he be the first authentic heavy weight like one in the '70's at Iowa State whose name I cannot recall but I remember him from OSU contests in person...
Chris Taylor weighed over 400 lbs when he enrolled as a freshman. There is no heavy weight class anymore, it's 285

Lets just jump now to 125, 135, 145, 155, 165, 175, 185, 195, 205, 305. Or start at 120 and ending at 200 and 300.

I've never understood the logic (if there is any) of the different pound increases in the weight divisions and the 300 just seems logical to me.

I think the average human is in the middle and 8 pound increments provide for more weight classes where the average male weighs.
I went to a small town school and we rarely had heavier or lower weight wrestlers and forfeited many of the larger and smaller weights in duals. My normal weight was around 184 and I could choose to wrestle 168 or 178 considering how much I wanted to pull.

Our 3 weakest weights at Nations were 165, 174 and 184. With the two portal guys coming in and Facundo apparently going down, I feel these weights will be very competitive now. Ross, the Raney Brothers, White, Zinkin all coming in - the room will be just ridiculously full of talent. The 10 best guys coming out of that room should be killers. I hope I'm not being too optimistic, but if everyone stays healthy I see this entire lineup being stacked from top to bottom - no weak weights. IF things develop well, next year's team could be the best OSU has ever had and that's saying something.

I just watched Dee wrestle James in 2025 20 and Under Nationals and he looked very good and beat James 6 to 1 in the 1st match and then teched James in the 2nd match. In the interview he said things that maybe were warning signs for this last year, he wasn't going to compete for the World Team since he only got a silver last year but the Coaches talked him into it. Then he did not place in Worlds. His stated reasons for not wanting to compete were he wanted to hang with his buddies and be able to stay out late which he couldn't do when he is competing. Has anyone heard if there is changes in Dee or is he going to short change himself as a wrestler. Obviously, I don't know what he is going to do but has anyone got a grasp if he is going to kick into gear or slide?

No one but Ladarion Lockett knows the answer to this question.

I would guess our lineup next year could be 125 Spratley, 133 Forrest, 141 Jordyn Raney, 149 Vega, 157 Robideau, 165 Lockett, 174 Norman, 184 Berge, 197 Merrill and HWT Dreshaun Ross. It is hard for me to see Facundo beating Lockett but if he did I would think it is time for Dee to hang out with his buddies full time because he doesn't have much of a commitment to wrestling anymore. If he commits to wrestling Facundo in my view won't be beating him. Also, I see Mikey White getting matches and before the end of the season he beats Berge and takes the 184 spot. I really hope he does well at the trials, but I am not aware of him doing much freestyle wrestling. This would be a very young and strong lineup for the Cowboys. If Rocklin wrestles really good, this summer I could see him challenging Spratley later in the year. Rocklin should get a lot of matches even if he doesn't take the position because he looks to be our future at 125 along with Villasenor.

I assume you’re talking about Jayden James? He would absolutely kill Dee if they wrestled now IMHO. That kid looked like he is ready to compete for a national title this year. What a difference a year and commitment makes

Several of the options should get matches at NDI.
