Pope said Keegan Brown is 1 of 4 people taking individual responsibilities of GM. So we have 4 GM’s and the other 3 are all more likely to meet with the players than Keegan who is likely in his office or something most of time.
Using the John Madden saying “if you have two quarterbacks, then you actually have none” as an analogy—UK doesn’t have a GM.

Totally agree. The reason Pope doesn't want a GM officially or even have the title of a GM somewhere is the same reason none of us would. That would be a boss. Giving someone the title of GM would be that.
Of course he isn't going to willingly bring in a boss for himself. A hundred percent an AD worth his salt would bring one in. Everyone needs accountability a head coach is no different.

His refusal to hire a GM independent of his staff shows the ineptitude of his time here. Especially after the offseason we’ve had. Could it be any more obvious that not a single soul was persuaded by the charm of Keegan Brown or whatever that losers name is.

Hopefully with the fire some have lit under the university, a competent AD is hired that will force his hand or just go ahead and make a change right away.
A GM makes zero a difference and no one is coming in and telling our bb coach what to do. This is UK bb folks. The AD Can hire and fire if he doesn’t like the coaches path. If he micomanages our bb coach he will not have the ability to attract a new coach next year. The bb coach at UK is like the presidency it has to be protected. Our coaches do what they want. We are still pissed with Barney for this hire. If a new ad is going to hire a coach soon just leave it and negotiate it next time around when we hire a new coach

I would say first act of new AD should be to fire this incompetent clown.

The new AD don’t have the power to make a coach hire a GM . Not bright

if pope announced keagan brown as a GM and described his role exactly how its been described today.....folks would applauded

but instead they game him a different role and everyone has a problem with it. truly no one here has any idea what a GM actually does and even less what a GM in college does. but everyone has an expert take.
