Lots if retro moments these last few days of May. What would you say was the most complete roster and path for the team in the 1990s? I say 1997 was a missed opportunity via PJ Brown Charlie Ward.

The Knicks' current run is exciting. Whoever comes out of the East, though. will fall to OKC or the Spurs in 5.

1994 for me. In 1997 you had MJ back post-hiatus (agree with NYShore they should have still beaten the Heat though). The Rockets were a really good team with a HOF at C to combat Ewing surrounded by good players, including two younger guys named Horry and Cassell before they were "Robert Horry" and "Sam Cassell". But I think that was the clearest path for the group.

1993 a close second because they legit pushed the Bulls that year and the Suns were definitely beatable.

I'm jumping on the Knicks bandwagon as I think they have tapped into something on offense that makes them a very dangerous team. The way they have played since falling behind Atlanta 2-1 has been transformational and the city is behind them.

Playing through KAT has made a huge difference and has opened up the whole offense. They've won 7 straight by an average margin of 26 points and will be well rested while Cleveland comes off two 7-game series. I think they'll handle Cleveland. The West winner between the Thunder and Spurs will be tough to take down but it will be a fun series.

And the defense suddenly is stepping up despite having some major personnel holes on that end between Brunson and Towns.

Also I think the Knicks have a decent shot at the Spurs if they get through the Cavs, if not more than a decent shot.

OKC though will be really really challenging n

I don’t think either East team has a realistic shot against the Thunder or Spurs. I also think the Knicks get dumped by the Cavs, who have the frontcourt length and athleticism to neutralize KAT.

Hope I’m wrong on both counts because this Knicks team is a ton of fun and easy to root for.

Agree that I think the Cavs will be more challenging than perhaps some Knick fans appreciate because of what Mobley (reigning DPOY) and even perhaps Allen can do to neutralize playing through Towns on offense. Still think the Knicks come through though and get to the finals.
