Gonna struggle to score next year though but I'll take good pitching over good hitting any day. . . . .

McPherson’s injury plus Foster not having it together really limited our ceiling during the regular season this year. We will see if anyone can step up in the postseason.

Not including Valincius and a healthy McPherson, we seem to have a staff full of guys that, in their current state, can be pretty good for about 2 innings and then all hell is liable to break loose.

Foster may have the arm, but he doesn’t have it between the ears right now. To be a good team you have to be strong up the middle. We don’t have the stud SS, CF and Catcher. Hopefully we find those in the offseason

Agreed. I’d say hitting is always going to be easier to find in the portal anyway. Hopefully we prioritize finding a legit good catcher in the offseason.

Pitching…defense..and being fundimentially sound at the plate helps win titles. I’ve mentioned several times on ED and on SPS we needed to bunt a LOT more this year. A friend kept notes of the conf games we’ve lost & said on Wednesday if we had only bunted runners up we’d won 5 more games and now we’d be a high national seed!!
Also, as we all know, a LOT OF TIMES on a bunt the fielder screws up with the batter being safe at first or standing on 2nd base. (Think Chance LAST NIGHT!!)
Folks want to say bunting is not easy. Well, FIELDING a bunt and making a throw is not always easy either. Why is this so hard for coaches to understand?? All this swinging for the fences is just not good at times.
