I actually think we are going to see a decent dose of the Freshmen Williams at the 1 and Morton at the 2.
This is exactly what I'm worried about. Morton is not in any way, shape, or form a UK caliber player even as a reserve. He was a role player on the 8th place WCC team. Mason Williams could turn out to be a solid player, who knows, but an outside the top-100 recruit as a true freshman probably isn't UK caliber, even as a reserve.

I don’t see him coming here, even if he comes back to school (which I don’t think he will). This is just my opinion. I base that opinion on couple of things:
- sounds like he really wants to stay in the draft
- Mark hasn’t landed anyone he wants first, he gets seconds or thirds

I’ll be happy to be wrong, but as it stands now, I believe we will lose MM (which that in itself is crazy to me because I just don’t see how he’s ready), and Mo will go somewhere else. Anywhere else, just not here.

Please be wrong myself. Please.

Momcilovic on Mark Pope and Kentucky

"I think Kentucky would be a good fit,” Momcilovic said. “I obviously went against Pope at BYU his first year (in the Big 12), and I loved how his team played. I think we went 1-1 against them, but they killed us at their place, because they fly the ball up the court and shoot 3s. I really like the way they play. And obviously Kentucky last year, he didn’t have enough shooters around him to really coach, I feel like, the way he wanted. But I think if I were to choose Kentucky, that would be a good fit for me. I feel like I’d be a great player for him and he’d be a good coach for me."

he also said he wasn’t really interested in an extremely high money offer from random schools, instead he wants a good role and a place to show his talents. Kentucky is a great place to show your talents and we can offer him big bucks while giving him a great supporting cast and team almost built for him.
Where are the doom and gloomers from yesterday posts . I thought momo's leader was louisville .

When I hear a guy saying it's not about money it makes me think I he doesn't want people to say it was just about money...when he takes the biggest offer.

I didn't say I was excited about it. lol This is something completely new to get used to whether I like it or not, we don't have quality talented depth oozing out our pours anymore. But I completely agree. I am also just taking what we have on the roster currently. I'm not factoring in possible additions (no matter how much we need a SG). And I'm factoring in Pope's force the square peg in the round hole subbing patterns into account as well. We'll see more of Morton than I think we'll really want to. For his sake and ours, I hope he rises to the occasion and is at least serviceable when his number is called.

What did you dopes expect him to say when asked the question by a Uk beat writer. Dumbest effing people on the planet
Bro calm down this is about the only thing we are gonna hear for the next week or two so who cares if we really obsess over this.

But also use your brain and think about that he has history with pope and knows pope can coach very well and I’d say our team compliments his game very wel

I mean looking at other rosters duke is truly the only team oozing with talent every other team is just ok on paper.

I think dukes team this year is a once in 20 years generational talent filled team.

He could still shaft Pope and UK, and honestly the first thing I thought when I opened this thread was "another whiff is on the way". We've been played so hard this year by multiple transfer and recruit players, coupled with commentary about Pope's personality (from players), that it's not a "doom and gloom" approach to assume he's going to miss out yet again. It's realistic.

Pope never gets who he wants? Wilkins from this portal haul was a want. Maybe by not some here but one of the youngest up and comers, he has got things to improve on but, besides not getting Wright or Stokes, getting Wilkins was pretty big.

I say it's not healthy to continue to seek the approval of strangers on a message board by an ever expanding set of lies.
But why do you care so much? Only people with severe mental health issues would care as much as you…that’s what’s starting to scare people. Go make up an AI GF or something to keep you busy. God be with you.

I hope this isn't false optimism. Momo would be the featured volume shooter for a very athletic team. This is one of the two major missing pieces we need.

Don't be weird, Pope. Land this kid.
I believe we’re getting our hopes up. I don’t like Goodman but he probably has better sources than that twitter profile and he seemed super confident saying what he did. I think it’s gonna be either Louisville or St. John’s if he comes back to college

IF we get this guy and we get Moreno back, I only see one hole to fill - I really don't like our guard depth. But with 14 spots filled, would we be able to add anyone worth having? Or can Hawthorne play the 2?
Ky has great Guard depth - Kam wants to play the 2.

People are different and some communicate different but honestly, most of the people that call weird I'm pretty judgmental and I think a lot of that judgment is the type of religion he is.
Funny thing is posters keep saying things like “have you heard Pope talk” or “who would want to play for a nerd” yet none of those people know Pope or literally anything about him or how he interacts with players. They are basing it off post game interviews, press conferences and complete speculation, zero facts involved. It’s wild to me people do that with no basis for it whatsoever.
