I really don’t have any issues with that pre-season assessment. There are a lot of new pieces that have to come together. However, maybe just my Carolina Blue vision makes me think that we will finish the season higher than that. Coach has shown that she can bring together a new group and mold them into a unit. And we know they are going to play defense.

Sorry to bang this drum, but the program should be further along in year eight. Coach Banghart has easily done enough to keep the job, but we aren't elite, and there's no evidence that will happen under the current regime.

#21 is too low. This is a boarderline top 10 team imo.
If we are 21 to start the season I would say it is 21 with a bullet. We are going to exceed expectations.
It is not like we have freshmen coming in from the TP. Our transfers are seasoned veterans coming from P5 conferences. Three from the ACC and 1 from the Big 12. Then you factor in who's coming back and we have the Naismith Player of the year coming in. When you factor these in, we should be ranked way higher than 21 in their rankings IMO.
