The problem is they probably say a lot of things that are completely correct and helpful. But they were so bad and political during COVID, they've become the boy that cries wolf to many folks.

Correct. There are no current cases of it in the US, there are 2 quarantined individuals in/ near Atlanta from the one ship. The cruise ship contracting so many cases is news worthy and the media has correctly downplayed the potential for this spreading since its basically 0. Sensational social media from people who don't know what they're talking about is what keeps getting blown up.
I’m actually glad that people have a healthy dose of skepticism now with medical advice. There’s not a one size fits all method to health, yet that’s the easiest way to disseminate information to the masses. Taking control of your health is one of the most basic actions we all should focus on. I ask my doctor a lot of questions, get second opinions, and become very familiar with any medical issues that come up. I don’t think I’ll live forever, but I’d prefer to feel decent til the end.

But where is all this panic, I have not seen that. In fact, I have only seen people saying the opposite that this is a nothing burger. How do they know? Have you read enough about this disease or studied it. I know I have not and most likely won't unless it starts spreading.
My thing though when I hear people say things like. This ain't **** or just more panic crap from ... whomever. Are these people the experts or just some dumb person that has a an opinion without any knowledge on the subject. If you have your mind made up what you are going to do right now if another Virus comes around, be it wear mask and take everything told by the CDC or you aren't going to do anything the CDC says or ever wear a mask then you are willfully ignorant.

I still find people getting political, and that's what comments like the response here are, over a suggestion to use Ivermectin kinda pathetic. It's cheap and it may well be effective. It's a real medication.
Why did it become such a touchstone issue? It seems very plausible to me that it was because the pharma companies needed it to be ineffective to support their emergency use authorization for the "vaccines". Billions and billions of $$$'s.

This is not political. I’m a doctor. I practice evidence based medicine. Saying “hey just throw some random medicine at it” is dangerous and irresponsible.

Social media has given rise back to the days before there were any rules or standards with medicine. Elixirs sold to those that don't know any better. Everyone's an expert, try it all why not.
Let this sink in. Not all voices carry the same weight. Social media likes and random opinions aren't valid for medical decisions.
If you want to be your own doctor, then be your own lawyer, pilot, preacher, teacher, mechanic, plumber, electrician, farmer, and everything else.
Especially with anything that could be life threatening.
Are there not also several studies now showing that the "vaccines" were pretty damn ineffective and mounting evidence that there's a real possibility that they may have actually done more harm than good? We'll certainly never know anything for sure because the ones that made all the money will use it to ensure no real studies happen that tell us the real story of their "vaccines".
Look, I'm not a proponent of Ivermectin one way or the other, but my understanding is it is a very safe drug. Please correct me if I'm wrong on that.
It was just obvious to me that from the start there was a force in the background pushing negative publicity to anything that wasn't about those money making "vaccines" being the only way to go.

Correct. Very safe to proven placebo for viruses. Folks saying "I took it and it worked" resulted in many deaths. Added to the world record number of deaths for those between the ages of 40 and 60 from 2020 to 2023. Highest 3 years of death in history worldwide.
