President of UK interesting

Man he must be really involved around there. Students know who he is off the rip. Seriously how does a UK graduate not know who the president is?
He must just sit in the office with Mitch and count his money. UK has a bunch of useless people in charge. And we wonder why we are behind the times. Talk about building relationships!
Can we get UK back? Mitch and Capilito suck. Point blank. Obviously sports have been struggling but how does a student on the academic side not know him. Is his picture not around campus? I'm glad that student said he didn't know who he was. I'm sure that made him feel good. Keep up the good work Cap.

Graduated from UK in 2022 (hence the name). I saw Capiluto once. On stage during graduation. Should tell you everything you need to know.

Right. That's the worst part. It doesn't surprise me a young person on their cell going into graduation wouldn't know the president.
It does surprise me the president would be unaware enough to choose that obviously distracted person to stop and assault with a weird interview THEN post it.

I graduated in the 80s. Never had an interaction with the university president. Didn’t expect to. Who the hell does?? LOL

Sister graduated from Clemson, their president was super active on campus, would show up to football games just to meet students in the stands, etc. It’s college/university dependent. Not saying you’re supposed to know them on a first name basis, just giving my own anecdote.
Imagine thinking the president of a university with an enrollment of nearly 40,000 should have the visibility of a high school principal.

What's Weird AF is you trying to make him out to be some sort of stalker or something. He was simply interacting with the students, and curious about where they were planning on going in life. I graduated from UK in 2005. I never met the president and wouldn't have recognized him if I did.
How great would it have been if the kid had said, "Well, I was hoping to have some unforgettable Cats basketball and football memories but you let Mitch Barnhart ruin all that for me. Thanks, Mr. Burns..."

When I worked at UK (retired 10 years ago) it wasn't uncommon to see president Capilouto on campus talking to students. And they seemed to like him. I always liked that about him plus he was a very good public speaker. I don't know what he's like now but that's the way he was 10-15 years ago.
Cap is actually a very quiet unassuming nice guy. Don’t necessarily agree with everything he has done or not during his tenure, but I’m not sure random students out of 35,000ish not ever running into him is much of a story.

My son knew him, I believe. But my son was very involved on campus.
