Ah, yes. The coaching change as a fix all strategy.

It could work and change everything over night (Cal). It could compound our issue further and be worse than before (BCG after Tubby). Definitely a gamble.

I thought the other version was creative and tapping into Euro players isn’t the worst idea. It’s worked well for Illinois and Arizona.

I’m not saying to only go for Euros, but it does seem like the college game is headed that way. Ideally it would be 1-2 high school studs, 2-3 portal studs 1-2 Euros and fill in gaps with bench guys from portal.

KD said something awhile back about the NBA trying to turn into an all white league (all the white euros) without directly saying it. Something to the effect of the NBA is giving up on the inner city AAU programs & trying to promote to the European leagues.

His wasn’t either. It was actually a damn good post. Presented an original idea that he defended well.

Bu you’ve built up such an irrational animosity toward the guy that you can’t bring yourself to admit it.
He's trolling the football threads

Go to the KSR site and read the article about donations to the athletic departments of all the schools in the SEC(except for Vandy, a private university). We were next to last ahead of only South Carolina. Therein lies much of the problem which we will not ever be able to overcome. We are a poor university in a a poor state with not the number of super rich alumni.

Yes it was. Don't be ridiculous. But it's ok to keep fan boying over the dope

I think AAU has done more harm than good.
I've always had a sense that some, certainly not all, AAU coaches want to exercise far more control and influence in the recruiting process than they should, complicating matters to satisfy their own inflated ego and sense of self-worth. It may even be much worse now, with all the money involved. $$$

Or get someone that’s at least not a weirdo. Pope cannot be a normal dude as many recruits absolutely wants nothing to do with us after visits.

Pope is never winning anything that matters. You have to try to win here. If the next coach fails keep trying until one succeeds
