We should really hire someone in the last coaching spot who is connected in Europe. We should have better lucky getting targets there than we have. This guy would be a let down compared to others we’ve talked with.
Koa had multiple 20 point games so I don’t know Moreno could be ranked higher.Rumors swirling that Koa Peat should return to college. Not understanding how he’s falling while Moreno is rising, maybe I’m overhyping Peat in my mind, but really thought he was was a surefire pick over Moreno.
I hope the Knicks ADORE HIMKoa had multiple 20 point games so I don’t know Moreno could be ranked higher.
Easy Moreno is a legit 7 footer and peat is a bully ball undersized 4 who don’t have a jump shot yet.Rumors swirling that Koa Peat should return to college. Sure, but Moreno is an unathletic 7 footer without a jumper and below average defense. P.S. Not hating on Moreno i want him back but just stating my opinion.Easy Moreno is a legit 7 footer and peat is a bully ball undersized 4 who don’t have a jump shot yet.
Going to see more 2nd rounders pushed to 1st with the low end prospects pulling out anything roughly under 20 you can make more in NIL but we shall seeHenri Veesar and Emeka (Stanford) announced they are staying in the draft
He's no good. I wouldn't want him anywayWe were allegedly one of his finalists last year, Pope can't even get him with a 2nd chance.
Lots of draft analysts are saying he has a couple things working against him. 6'8" barefoot is a little small for a power forward who doesn't have an outside shot in the NBA, and that he spent the last 6 weeks trying to fix his shooting form and it made it worse. Apparently he did not shoot well and his form looked really bad. He's in a pretty crowded spot with some excellent talent as a 4. Moreno is long and tall with great measurables in a weak class for Centers. Even moderately skilled 7 footers are hard to come by in this draft. I'd put more stock in Moreno rising due to lack of other options in this draft that are better (and that young with potential to grow and improve), than I would in say Peat being considered less skilled than Moreno and falling.Rumors swirling that Koa Peat should return to college. Honestly very fair analysis, I guess I had it in my mind that he was a legit 6’10 just because I see how he plays/how physical he is and it reminds me somewhat of Paolo in college (worse shooting). But to your point, 7 footers don’t grow on trees and it definitely seems like that center spot is one of the weaker points of this class!Lots of draft analysts are saying he has a couple things working against him. 6'8" barefoot is a little small for a power forward who doesn't have an outside shot in the NBA, and that he spent the last 6 weeks trying to fix his shooting form and it made it worse. I’ve always viewed him as Cam Boozer 2.0/Lite. They are very similar players and the measurements are about the same, without looking it up I’d assume Boozer has a tad more weight but at this stage he is a slightly lesser Boozer IMO.Honestly very fair analysis, I guess I had it in my mind that he was a legit 6’10 just because I see how he plays/how physical he is and it reminds me somewhat of Paolo in college (worse shooting). He measured in at 6'7 barefoot with a 6'11 wingspan. Which is perfectly fine measurements in the NBA for a pf if he holds his own defensively. For comparison, he measured taller than both PJ Washington and Draymond Green (albeit a smaller wingspan). His shooting drills really just looked bad. Think his stay/go decision and slide is being overstated. He'll be a late lotto-20ish pick most likely.Lots of draft analysts are saying he has a couple things working against him. 6'8" barefoot is a little small for a power forward who doesn't have an outside shot in the NBA, and that he spent the last 6 weeks trying to fix his shooting form and it made it worse. I would mostly agree. Except at 6'7 - 6'8" he falls into that modern stretch 4 area but lacks the 3pt and spot up skills of most stretch 4's (currently). That can of course be drilled and improved. His athleticism and build/strength are undeniable though and he will definitely still be mid first round, I just think he "fell" out of lottery consideration. He's just a little shorter than a traditional bruiser Power forward that his body and game lend itself to. Those guys are usually 6'9"-6'10", rebounding ball hawks, protect the rim, and stay in close to the basket. He's a tweener in my book. Very high floor as a prospect. I was just answering why they say he's falling. You've got high flying, uber athletic 4's, who shoot it well from outside taking slots above him. He should stay in and he'll get paid, but if he were to return to school he'd be likely a top 5 pick next year if he spends the year fixing his shot.He measured in at 6'7 barefoot with a 6'11 wingspan. Speaking of Boozer, am I the only one that thinks Caleb Wilson isI’ve always viewed him as Cam Boozer 2.0/Lite. They are very similar players and the measurements are about the same, without looking it up I’d assume Boozer has a tad more weight but at this stage he is a slightly lesser Boozer IMO.
You’re not alone. Boozer has a 90s NBA game that he is going to actively evolve in his first contract years. He’s a beast, but the style of play puts him at a disadvantage out of the gate.Speaking of Boozer, am I the only one that thinks Caleb Wilson isthe take over boozer in this draft? He is taller, longer, more athletic and twitchier.
And he has that dog in him. Shot is really nice too.
Everything about him screams to me that he will be significantly better in the nba than boozer.
Especially as he adds some weight/muscle.
I said way back in December that Caleb Wilson will be a much better pro than Boozer. Boozers ceiling is a career 16 and 8 type guy IMO. We will see but I've always said if Boozers name wasn't Boozer he'd have been lower rated prospect, less hype and a fringe 1st rounder not top 4 pick. He's good but not great and his name gives him a boost.Speaking of Boozer, as I the only one that thinks Caleb Wilson isthe take over boozer in this draft? Yeah I see what you're saying for sure. I just see him as a taller Keldon Johnson...with a worse shot.I would mostly agree. Boozer reminds me of KLove in a lot of ways. See some all star appearances in his future. Wilson has the potential and build of a KG (although I am hesitant to say anyone is like a first ballot HOFer haha). You’re not alone.
