Could have been posted in a thousand other dumbass threads but started a new one. Absolutely pathetic.
After the way Pope has been treated, just who in the world do you think would want to come here and coach ? The more you keep treating Pope like crap, the less and less coaches that would be willing to come here and coach. Do you people know that you are making the University the laughing stock of college basketball. You are making yourselves into the new Indiana after Knight left. Is that what you really want ? Use common sense and let Pope coach the team and get rid of all the hate.
The last I checked Pope is coaching this team and will be for this third year,so common sense tells me it’s not the fans but none other than CMP making us the laughing stock of college basketball. If fans on any message board are hindering our coach from carrying out his duties as the leader of this proud program, then we have much bigger problems!

Explain to me how Denzel Aberdeen is better than Zoom or Wilkins? Explain how Jelavic is better than McBride and Ndiaye?

Here's a bet. $100 on Wilkins becoming a first round draft pick. He becomes a first rounder in the NBA draft, any season, you win. If he doesn't, I win. We may have to watch over the course of a few years, I don't mind.

Some examples of players I would not call trash (just spitballing here, this is not a full list -- and I'm limiting to players we were in the conversation for): Wilson, Yaxel, Dybantsa, Dent, Wright, Momcilovic, Stokes, Yessoufu, Holt, Crowe, Collins,
If Quantaince had played consistently and put up SJU type efforts, I would call him great.
I didn't like Oweh personally -- the guy put up empty numbers, and the team was much better the year where he was a 3rd option. That being said, I would objectively put him on a tier above the others we are talking about but not on the Yaxel, AJ, Wilson, tier. He was asked to do too much and did an admirable job, if I put my personal bias aside. Personally, I just can't get around his repeated issues with effort and focus.
I'm glad you brought up Oweh because that shows the levels involved here. You have two of the top tier guys I mentioned, then add a guy like Oweh as 3rd option-- that's a title contender team without question. But Pope has landed 0 of those guys his entire tenure.

I think visually Wilkins is the best gaurd mark pope has had on his teams, ball handling, movement etc. I’m not betting with some rando online but I think he has a very good chance of going first round givens he plays the same or better from his last year
