Not arguing that's not a good thing, but OP acts like that's the only thing that matters.

Doctor: "Sully, you have stage 4 cancer"
Sully: "That's okay, I ran really fast yesterday"
Doctor: "That means you're dying, son."
Sully: "No, I mean REAAAALLY fast. I got new shoes!"
Doctor: "You could be dead by Friday."
Sully: "Bro, Did you not hear me! Watch [runs down hall]"

Anyone can manipulate statistics to make their argument sound justified. What fails you is critical thinking skills which is typical of MAGA.

Your refusal to acknowledge bidenflation is astounding. It is one of three main reasons kamala lost in a landslide in 2024. 25% blanket price increases across the board under dementia joe along with 20 million illegal aliens is not a winning formula, comrade.

I still find it hilarious that dems posted this then deleted it when they realized how bad it made them look 😂

No one is excusing Biden for inflation as his policies directly correlated to the rise. Let me know where I gave him a pass.

I remember Trump promising to "rapidly drive prices down" and make "America affordable again". He specifically targeted grocery prices, promising to lower costs for basic staples, and pledged to get energy and electricity prices down significantly. And of course, after bombing Iran and swearing they would never be able to have a Nuke again, people asked about the Epstein Files and he suddenly felt like Iran was a major threat again.

Imagine ever believing a single thing that lying idiot had to say.

Your (scrubby) refusal to acknowledge COVIDflation is astounding.
FIFY

Calling it "Bidenflation" pretty much ignores the fact inflation exploded globally after COVID... and that included countries that didn't have Sleepy Joe or Democrat policies. The economy basically got shut down and governments worldwide dumped trillions into keeping things going.

You can absolutely argue some Biden policies added to inflation but acting like it was somehow uniquely caused by him ignores that Trump also signed YUGE COVID spending bills before leaving office.

me too, and since I have a 3% mortgage, am retired and don't buy as much any more, I'm prepared to take the increases in my investments over higher grocery prices. I'm doing at least a 10-1 trade off and i'll take that any day.
I don't think anyone is disputing that those of us with substantial investments in the market are currently doing very well. It's people living paycheck-to-paycheck that are taking a hit.

Covid didn't drive up prices, policy did. Biden inherited a trillion dollars in cash reserves he did not need to spend but chose to anyways on absolute skop. The ppp loan forgiveness was an absolute abomination especially since we know members of congress, their families and special interest friends took billions of dollars from the US tax payer. I will say, that last point is 100% a both sides issues as many, many Republicans also took full advantage of looting the tax payer blind.
It did. And the left is mad. As usual.
When are they not crying about something?

Average Republican ethos. It doesn't negatively impact me so I don't really care.
so just out of curiosity, what would you have me do to reduce grocery prices....I rarely eat beef, gave up lettuce for my salads, cut out sugary snacks, don't drink soda...

what are you doing, short of criticizing somebody else....

Should I give up the interest, dividends and gains on my investments??? are you

aren't we giving the needy food stamps? Not criticizing them, but when someone is in front of me in check out lane using food stamps, they generally have higher end groceries that I do.

EDIT: not a republican

what did the people living paycheck to paycheck do before Trump....I'm going to assume that when prices went up pre trump, they were still living paycheck to paycheck...not that I have empirical data. And I know this is totally foreign to post boomer generations, but when people lived paycheck to paycheck someone in the family got a second paycheck.

I'm not asking you to do anything. I'm pointing out your tone deaf comment about how you seemingly don't care about higher grocery prices because it's not impacting you. There are millions of people living paycheck to paycheck who are getting killed by this, just like they were from 2022-2023. One of the primary reasons Trump won in 2024 was because "burger now expensive," and if you think this **** won't have a ripple effect that will likely end up smashing the investment markets, then idk what to tell you.

Dude! COVID absofreakinglutely drove up prices. That's not even really debated by actual economists (despite mine and yours amazing ability to smack away at Google). When you shut down factories, ports, shipping, travel, and large YUGE parts of the dadgum global workforce, prices go up . ...supply drops sharply while demand eventually comes roaring back. That's literally what happened.

Now, can bad policy make inflation worse? Sure. Biden's additional spending probably added some fuel to the fire. But if this was ONLY about Biden policy then why did inflation spike across Europe & Canada too?

(I may regret typing this), But I actually agree with you on PPP abuse. That was a bipartisan dumpster fire. Tons of fraud, insider abuse & politically connected people getting rich off taxpayer OUR money. Still, though, that's different from proving inflation was uniquely "Biden-created" versus a global post-COVID economic shock (that we just happened to be part of).

Sure you are....If you were doing fine, you wouldn't be whining about your grocery bill going up a few $$.

Your only chance of retiring at 50 is if Trump serves a 3rd term.
“I think Donald Trump’s going to get a third term. That’s my prediction,” Jost said, leaving Rahma speechless.

“I predicted when he was running in 2020,” Jost added. “I was like, if he gets elected, it’s for eight years.”

Jost went on to anticipate the MAGA-fueled logic behind the projected move.

“He’s going to have something where he’s like, ‘Democrats stole my first term because of the impeachment, so I didn’t even have a first term, so this is actually my first term, so I get one more,’” Jost explained. “And then the Supreme Court will be like, ‘That’s a pretty good argument. It seems like we’ve got to overlook the Constitution.’”

“I think we just have to prepare for it,” Jost said.

I mean, if you read my other posts itt you'd see I was talking about the millions of Americans in the country living paycheck to paycheck, and the effect a massive cost of living increase has on elections. The pendulum is eventually going to swing back the other direction and cause massive investment upheaval, if not a general crash, since it happens every 10 years or so at this point.

Just a little critical thinking can go a long way, bud.
