A two year player with Coach Ben, knows the system, could step up to be a 10+ pt per game scorer and a 10+ rebound/assist guy per game. That would be great.

He can work on his dribble drive and the control he needs to be stuffing and laying it over the rim while taking some contact

Don't think the NCAA has made a decision yet (not surprising since it would involve something positive about Iowa athletics).

I thought the whole JC thing was a new rule rather than an ongoing case-by-case ruling
Exactly. Playing at a JC is playing at a JC. How can you give additional eligibility to some and not others? On what possible grounds? Either JC counts or it doesn't. Maybe Banks and others in his situation should just come back and play and dare the NCAA to stop them. Precedent, such as Vanderbilt QB Pavia, would seem to be on the players' side.

ncaa is probably waiting for a petition from a 6th year duke player with 2 years of prior professional basketball experience so that they can balance out the bad news of banks rejection with a feel good approval

About where I'm at, at this point. If that's the rule, then just do it and deal with whatever comes, if anything, later.
