Can't wait to see ours and compare it! Good to see we are holding back the info so I don't get a heart attack!

Not so sure about that. I think it matters to a degree, but other top dogs with better projected conferences schedule like UConn too. I think it’s more about what they are able to get and a HC’s preference.

Despite throwing his hissy-fit 2 years ago after losing a bunch of games in Maui, Saint Danny knows the UConn machine is going to be strong annually and clearly sees value in challenging his team in the OOC from the jump. Plus it is great for your fan base and brand to play in these games, and UConn has the clear strongest brand in the BE.

UConn wouldn’t be scheduling like this if they could rely on a solid big east schedule. Their schedule tells you a lot of what they think of the big east.
Partly true and he knows his team will be good and will benefit from the competition. But it's more about revenue.
He stated 2 years ago in Maui that they would stop playing in MTEs like that because they cost money and produce none.

He's replaced them with 4 great games at neutral sites that will fill up and pay major revenue and 3 likely home and homes vs national powers that will fill up their arena.

We'll never get the same level of opponents but we have to emulate the model. The OOC has to be viewed through the lens of revenue creation for the school and/or the players.

Strongest brand in all of college basketball with Duke. Kansas, Carolina and Kentucky right there as well.
Big East needs to appreciate UCONN while they are here because they'll be going to B12, B10 or ACC sooner than later.

Well, it’s getting into six years and they haven’t gone anywhere due to football. Agree, UCONN should be appreciated by all BE fans but certainly not loved. The whole edifice falls apart when the media rights deals for three of the top four football leagues along with the BE are up in 2030/2031.

Thats the reason it hasn't happened yet. Its just a matter of time with TV contract renewals coming up. Thats when the turmoil will happen.

BE willing never be able to replace UCONN.
There is no other school that has the stature to replace them.
Keep laughing now dude.
You'll be crying when they're gone.
Think about how ridiculously lowvthe BE media deal would have been without UCONN in the conference.
Just look at last 4 years its UCONN and a bunch of average, mediocre and terrible programs.
Who on earth would pay big money for a BE without any top tier headliner.

Thing is, UConn won’t just be moving in a vacuum. It will be a part of massive happenings around D1.

For the record uconn is not like the others in the new big east...I was not a fan of their crawl back and the welcoming carpet they got. They needed the best partnership outside of the P4/P5 at the time with old original Pac 12 being around. AAC was a tired league they certainly were not doing well across all their sports minus women's hoops. Big East did more for this state school than it has done for the league. Uconn doesn't have the rosters of final four vintage without Big East.

Guys, it’s all about football. When UCONN finds a (lucrative) home for football it will leave. Most likely at the end of the decade which is only 3 1/2 years away.

Their head coach just left for a marginal step up. They had a small window of success in the bcs era.

You are insane.
UCONN has given far more for BE than they've gotten back.
Uninformed or Ignorant people keep citing AAC without mentioning that the real reason that UCONN has been dominant is 15% Big East and 85% Dan Hurley. Dan was just hired when they were in the AAC and then he got it rolling shortly thereafter. Hurley is a force of will, he was going to win big no matter where he was coaching. Fir crying out loud he was winning big at Rhody in the A10.
The Big East is terrible in most every sport outside of men's basketball. Baseball, softball suck. Soccer is ok at best.
When UCONN leaves its likely they will leave alone or Villanova and SJU leave also.
Big East is dead at that point or at least no longer Power 5. UCONN is all that's been keeping BE as P5.

And what makes you think uconn wouldn't then go the way of Syracuse and BC to basketball obscurity...
Come on, get real.
UCONN was always better than Syracuse and 100 levels above BC.
UCONN is a huge brand and they spend huge. They will not stand for long losing and will spend to get the best.
They are spending $100 million in Gampel improvements, practice facilities are Amazing.
They invest and have brand.

Again, uninformed take.
Mora is a West Coast guy. Was going to take first west coast job he could get.
UCONN just had a unanimous 1st team all American. They beat Duke Acc champions, BC, North Carolina etc.
They also got the best coach in the MAC who had been tremendously successful. Their football won't be playing for national titles but they have made bowl games 3 years in a row.
On the upswing.

Nope I am very sane.
Yes URI was a reclamation project for Danny. However, he was relatively weak with results in 3 of the first 4 recruiting cycles and seasons. Only in his last two seasons at URI did the needle move a bit.
Danny first two years at UConn with AAC alignment was dismal at best. Also don't forget he was a loser of a 5-12 tournament game in March 2022 that has been the turning point of his run at Uconn.

If anything Mora saw CSU going to a reborn Pac-12 and feels he can dominant in the near term before he leaves coaching. He went to Fort Collins not rodeo drive

Let me guess it was the cruddy BE full of dismal teams that cant beat anyone e good OOC that saved Hurley and UCONN.
Again, completely insane idea.

Also, the needle moved a little it at Rhody?
They made 2 straight NCAAs and went S16 and almost E8?

Im no UCONN lover but realize that as far as the rest of the US outside the Northeast region is concerned. UCONN is all there is of big time quality in BE.
Villanova can make a case but has been down for a number of years.
SJU was dead for 40 years and made 1 S16. Wow Amazing.

Nationally UCONN is only real big name in BE.

Absolutely P12 is far better than having yo play independent schedule. No argument.
He thought enough of UCONN to go there in 1st place and won big.
UCONN people are absolutely thrilled with new coach from Toledo. Very big winner and will co ti be to build on solid foundation.

Syracuse was just as good as UCONN if not better from the beginning of the Big East up until they left for the ACC
No denying that
