I like the potential of our guards for the upcoming season but we did have two lottery picks and Reeves in '24 as a recent example.
The way too early rankings & NCAA tournament projections are the ones that are really dumb to me.
You have to factor in terrible shot selection. Shooting 1-9, 1-8, 0-7 from 3 on a regular basis is terrible shot selection. And you know pope isn’t going to stop him. He let Mo and BG shoot as many 3s as they wanted.
They combined for 45 3 point field goal attempts for the entire season. They definitely had no green light.

McBride and N'Diaye both project to shoot better than those two guys, so I expect them to shoot a higher volume.

Those two shot a total of 45 combined in 36 games. I would agree that was too many seeing as they only made 10 but that is far from having the green light at all times.

However, I didn't think the 24/25 roster was going to be any good either, but they pulled off enough big wins to get a 3 seed.
If MP fills out the roster with a couple good pieces, this team could easily be better than that one, then it comes down to how well they like each other.
