The starting center on the NJ Nets back to back Eastern Conference champs has passed away at age 47 from cancer. His impact was much bigger outside of basketball as later on he became the first active NBA player to come out as openly gay.

To say Twin was a class act is an understatement. It was a pleasure to cover him back in his playing days. RIP.

who met bigotry without fear.

I was a huge fan of Collins back in the day, even though he was one of the worst offensive players ever.
