To me, it’s truly a toss up on stay or go to the NBA for Milan. Let’s assume he’s picked 35th-40th. A shooter of his caliber is highly sought after. I would predict he would get a guaranteed contract from whoever drafts him, based purely on his shooting. Let’s assume that’s 2m a year for 2-4 years. Not a bad route

On the other hand, you come back to college get 3-5m from whoever you play for, and likely still have the above scenario waiting on you at next year’s draft, with a slim slim chance of playing yourself into the first round. Unlikely that happens imo.

Given those two scenarios, to me, it really would be difficult to pass up on 1m-ish dollars just to start your nba career when that scenario is going to be there the following year regardless. Only difficult part would be waiting another year for that 2nd contract in the league. But that’s assuming he sticks in the NBA, which you have to assume that he thinks he will. Will be interesting to see.

My prediction is that he does come back to college. Unsure on for who though.

Taking a look at the potential entrants to the 2027 NBA draft, it looks to me like it is a precipitous falloff from what's available this year. This year is deep and may even provide value in the second round, for some.

The wise move would be to come back to college, draw a bigger check than what you'd get as a second round pick, parlay a good performing season into moving up into the first round next year. With good enough performances, players like Milan and Moreno could even be fringe lottery, but that would necessitate a really good year and a huge improvement. But that's entirely possible.

As for Kentucky, why shouldn't we go all in on Milan and / or Graves at this point? That would pretty much round the roster out, with maybe one or two last addtions. If we strike out and whiff on both, it just adds to the recruiting failures of CMP, but the bottom line is : we NEED to retain Moreno, period.

Let's hope there's still room to make a big splash with a bigtime player that can really make a difference.
