Feel like it was almost as long since he hit a HR than the gap for Gavin before this weekend... Both back on track with the long ball. We really are a different team if the top 3-4 power guys are leaving the yard somewhat regularly.

I’m late to post this because I’ve been listening on the lawn mower: I trust everybody who says the guy at the plate was out, but in general if you have a guy in a rundown and it comes down to a replay in the base he’d be attempting to advance to, you didn’t properly execute it.
5 HR's total hit in 3 innings... did the Hawks harness Coors Field while setting up their park??
So clearly there are ways to play things....but it started with a Seahawk standing on third and another coming from second surprising everyone.....they threw the ball to third since they had two Hawks at third, Nicholson tagged the second one after he came off the base so they wouldn't have two on the same base....the other guy broke for home and Nicholson ran him and threw a touch late.....the 'lack of execution' was throwing it a fraction of second late and a bit high.....
I still say he was out from my vantage point directly behind home plate
UNC-W now trotting out their worst pitcher on staff. 11.25 ERA in a very rough 4 innings of work. .400 BAA...
It was higher than you would want, but still should have thrown it earlier - there was no reason not to.
An absolute home run robbery from Will Tyrrel (who is allegedly 5'11 so epic catch out there) in right field. Hell of a catch. Winslow heads back to the dugout

If umpire had called him out, it would not have been overturned. Replay was inconclusive either way. Live he looked out on TV too.

Throwing it to 3rd and tagging the back guy is 100% the right play.
Running towards the plate is what hm talking about. Going that direction you want to lean towards throwing it earlier than later. Not the worst play ever or anything but you don’t want it to be close going in that direction.
This is the type of game you might have to win sometime in a regional. Nice to see how our offense consistently answering and putting up something every inning.
Also helps that UNC-W is throwing the worst of the worst of their staff, and guys that don't even have 5 innings pitched this year...
