You might have said the same thing about Sandro (2.6 PPG and 1.9 RPG in 9.6 MPG) or Jared Rhoden (3.4/2.6/13.1) if they were incoming transfers after their freshmen years.

Or Zuby Ejiofor (1.2/1.7/5.2 and 4.3/3.1/11.3) after either of his first two seasons. Or Solo Ball (3.3/1.0/11.5).

I know little about Chris Nwuli other than he'll be a sophomore next year. I'm not about to limit him to the numbers he put up last year. nor am I expecting a leap to all-Big East status.

The idea that young men are fully formed in any aspect at 20 years old is laughable but you seem to live by that notion.
And thus the hope. We basically swing and missed with these types in 2024, hit in 2026.

Nwuli and Mariano are in that class, see what happens. Feel much better about Williams, Jones, Wilcher, and Brown; I don’t think they’re the same gambles. Plus Parker and Anderson are also BE rotation players.

Question - would Williams who had seemingly good options - commit if he was going to play the 5? I am assuming he got assurances that a starting 5 is on the way.
What kind of assurance can you give in today’s world. We could have someone locked up today tomorrow he gets offered an extra 250k and he’s gone. It’s sad, it’s disgusting but it’s also reality.

I know you will get blasted for this from some on this forum but there is truth in your comments. That being said it is way more important to look at who is in at the end of games and not necessarily who starts. Unfortunately, Payne was in at the end of some games when Hines should have been in. Hines may have left not only because of money but how he was NOT used.

It's pretty clear to anyone with eyes that he was leaving because of a lot more money. It's been said here 100x over, but keep grinding the axe until Hines graduates from college. The d-canoe that you are hitching your wagon to gets blasted because everything and everyone "stinks," and it gets a little tiresome.
